Ocean Lakes named Mega Park of the Year
Ocean Lakes Family Campground is the Mega Park of the Year for the sixth time, according to a news release Friday.
The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds recognized Ocean Lakes with the award based on all-around excellence and customer service.
“We are so thrilled to again bring the ‘Park of the Year’ award home to Myrtle Beach,” said Lance Thompson, General Manager and Vice President of Ocean Lakes Family Campground. “Our team constantly strives for excellence in every aspect of our operation to ensure that our guests are truly ‘happy campers.’ It’s rewarding for our team and leaders to be recognized nationally for their dedication to making Ocean Lakes the premier campground in the country.”
Ocean Lakes is the largest campground on the East Coast and features a mile of beachfront, an on-site water park, on-site dining and convenience store, and a guest recreation program. The campground has been a Myrtle Beach staple since it was opened in 1971 by Nelson and Mary Emily Jackson. The Jackson family still owns the park.
