About WonderWorks Myrtle Beach

Imagine a science laboratory that has literally been turned upside down – not just the building itself, but also crazy experiments inside. This place actually exists, and not just in the imagination. Located at the popular Broadway at the Beach entertainment, shopping and dining district, WonderWorks is impossible to miss due to its unique appearance. With the roof located in the ground floor and the foundation on the third floor, you don’t really have to ask for directions to this unusual attraction. WonderWorks features more than 100 hands-on exhibits, interactive displays and thrill rides for kids and adults alike. Families can find all sorts of amusing activities to do together, including a zipline and ropes course, as well as some thought-provoking displays that highlight oddities of nature, such as gravity and electricity. Become a human lightning rod by placing your hand in a mesh, armor glove and watch while the Tesla Coil emits 100,000 volts of electricity to your fingers; enter the Hurricane Shack and experience category 1 hurricane force winds; discover the world through a Google Earth exhibit that displays 3-D images of every place on the planet. Test your nerve and physical abilities at such exhibits as Pulley Power, Virtual Sports, the Bed of Nails, the Wonder Wall, the Bubble Lab and MindBall, a challenging bio-feedback game in which players wear EEG headbands with electrodes that record and evaluate brain activity. In a battle of the minds, the player who stays most calm and relaxed wins. WonderWorks is open daily, year round.

Amazing place. My 7 year old was scared at first due to the loud noise as you enter but he quickly got involved in looking at something.

Lots of family fun

We have only been one time but it was a great visit. Lots of interesting exhibits that appealed to everyone. Our (then) 5 yr old had a blast!
