Taking off from a serene location across Bypass 17 from Broadway at the Beach, your tour in a Robinson R-44 can take you anywhere from 2 – 42 miles, depending on what you’re in the mood for.
The $20 introductory Fly4Fun Ride is a two-mile tour that will get you a great view of the surrounding area and also flies over Myrtle Waves Waterpark.
The six other tours are incrementally longer, ranging from the 7-8 mile Boardwalk Adventure that heads down to the ocean, rides out over the water, and hooks back inland at the SkyWheel; to the 40-42 mile Grand Strand Adventure that goes all the way to the Cherry Grove and Little River area with highlights of the Intracoastal Waterway, Pine Lakes Country Club and everything else in between.
With five landing pads and ten choppers, the highly professional pilots at Helicopter Adventures can handle hundreds of helicopter rides daily. The company is proud of its 100% safety rate and FAA certifications. It’s also worth keeping in mind that tours are offered by reservation or on a walk-in basis, and each helicopter can take up to three passengers with a minimum of two per flight. Wait times average around 17 minutes, which is just enough time to get pumped up before the trip.

I was with my family who were taking a helicopter ride and before they could go. I misjudged the curb where we were parked and as I was stepping up the curb, I fell very hard onto my face. The two extremely nice ladies working the customer service counter came to my rescue and stayed with me until the ambulance showed up. They honestly went above and beyond the call of duty. And I also had a man from Vermont, that was an EMT who got me settled down and performed concussion testing on me and also stayed with me until the ambulance arrived. I would love to know his name and thank him.. I am happy to say that there are some very good people out there..Bless there hearts💕And I am happy to say that we returned the very next day with the family members who got to take the ride and loved it. Once again the ladies working the counter took wonderful care of me,..
