The two-hour island and dolphin cruise on the “Getaway,” a 42-foot power catamaran that seats up to 34 passengers, begins in the Intracoastal Waterway before landing on a barrier island to explore the uninhabited beaches. Then you’ll cruise out to sea in search of bottleneck dolphins. Along your journey, you’ll have a chance to see plenty of native wildlife, including leatherback sea turtles, black tip sharks, jellyfish, pelicans, osprey, seagulls and  more. Snacks and drinks are sold on board. There is a bathroom on the boat, and all ages are welcome.

Looking for a more thrilling ride? Check out the 45-minute jet boat ride on the new boat, the “Thrill Seeker,” a 32-foot custom-built jet boat that seats up to 22 passengers. “Thrill Seeker” is powered by three engines with a total of 900hp and top speeds up to 45 mph. This adrenaline-packed ride begins on the Intracoastal Waterway and blasts through the waterway performing high-speed precision maneuvers and 360 spins. A boat ride that gives you the thrill of a roller coaster on the water is truly a unique experience you won’t want to miss! Riders must be 48″ tall to ride. Riders can expect to get wet during the ride. Not recommended for people with pre-existing injuries or physical conditions.

Southern Shore also offers private charter cruises on the 42-ft. catamaran, “The Getaway.” A private charter is perfect for group boat rides near Myrtle Beach, family outings, bachelorette/bachelor parties, birthday parties, company outings and much more.

The private charter offers a custom itinerary planned by you. Options include: dolphin cruise, bar hopping at some of Myrtle Beach’s most popular waterfront restaurants, island hopping to hang out at the barrier islands, or just cruise the ICW through Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle beach for some sightseeing! Guests can bring their own drinks and snacks or let Southern Shores provide a package for you. Their professionally trained staff and USCG-licensed captains will take care of all of the details.
