Palace Theatre’s Christmas on Ice brings Christmas cheer to Myrtle Beach

If you’re looking for a little nudge to get you into the Christmas spirit, the Palace Theatre’s Christmas on Ice show might be just the push you need.

The show — which features ice skaters, singers, dancers, appearances by St. Nick and a few pleasant surprises — commemorates the sights and sounds of the season in a fast-paced 2-hour holiday celebration.

A friend and I recently took our three little girls, ages 4 to 7, to see the show, and even the littlest one was impressed with the flips and turns of the ice skaters.

They were all captivated by the singers and dancers who perform to many traditional Christmas hits, including White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and many other classics.

The mix of fast and slow numbers keeps the show moving and gives the cast members ample opportunity to highlight their many talents.

The 40-foot ice rink is center stage for the skaters as they twirl, spin and dance their way through the show. The entire set captures the warmth and charm of Christmas with its twinkling star backdrop and many lighted Christmas trees and wreaths.

In fact, the whole Palace Theatre is tastefully decorated in a Christmas theme sure to put a smile on even the scroogiest face.

Check out the Palace Theatre this year for your dose of holiday cheer. Tickets start at $34.95 for adults, and the show runs through the end of December.
