Description
About Nosh

Tucked into the scenic Hammock Shops in Pawleys Island, this upscale eatery serves up a menu of seasonal, locally-sourced Mediterranean-Southern fusion cuisine.

It’s definitely a great spot to go to see and be seen, but parts of the dining area are also cozy enough for couples or small groups to be able to enjoy a romantic or low-key dinner.

Nosh Food

For lunch, check out unique Starters like Portobello Mushroom Fries (thick-sliced, breaded, accompanied by a sweet chili aioli) or Fried Green Tomatoes (lightly fried, served with pesto goat cheese aioli and balsamic glaze), as well as standards like Calamari and Wings.

The list of lunch Delightfuls (larger plates) features favorites like Fish Tacos (blackened Mahi, tortillas, lettuce, tomato, avocado-yogurt sauce), Po’ Boy Fried Flounder Sandwich, and Low Country Shrimp and Grits (Tasso ham, spicy cream gravy, cheesy grits).

The dinner menu takes on a more Mediterranean flare, with Beginnings (appetizers) like Greek Bruschetta, Stuffed Portobello Mushroom, and Fried Calamari.

The Soups and Salads list includes a delicious She Crab Soup, as well as the Nosh Caesar (romaine hearts, feta, parmesan, garlic & herb croutons, anchovy filet, parmesan cracker), Caprese Salad, and Spinach and Pear Salad.

The Delectables (entrees) offerings includes Crab & Scallops Cakes (mustard cream sauce, citrus aioli, saffron risotto, Brussels sprouts), Shrimp & Lump Crab Mac & Cheese, Chicken Saltimbocca, and Steel Magnolias (hand-breaded fried green tomatoes, Andouille sausage, shrimp, and creamy pomodoro over angel hair pasta).

Of course, if you’re in the mood for a la carte Certified Angus Steaks, Butcher Block Pork Chops, Double Cut New Zealand Lamb Chops, Seafood, or Lobster Tails, Nosh offers a full menu of that, too.

And for Brunch, check out specialties like Nosh Benedict (champagne poached eggs, crab cake, fresh herbs, lemon/lime hollandaise, ciabatta bread), Chef’s Omelet (smoked and blackened prime rib, key lime butter, sautéed onion slaw, Boursin and smoked gouda), and The Boardwalk (French Toast-style bread planks, bacon strips, blueberry glaze, strawberries, and whipped cream).

Nosh Atmosphere

Like most things in Pawleys Island, Nosh can be a pretty swanky place – white table cloths, original paintings on the walls, artistically-presented dishes, leather couches, open wine storage. But that shouldn’t deter anyone from going – after all, Pawleys is the place that bills itself as “Arrogantly Shabby.”

So if swank is not your thing, grab a seat on the porch and enjoy some great bites and cocktails, and maybe even a good conversation or two.
