Owner Rafik Hakobyan took over the former Bennett’s Calabash Seafood location on N. Kings Highway and gave the interior a fresh, updated look while keeping the spirit of the Calabash tradition intact.

The food is the main event. The all-you-can-eat buffet features steamed Alaskan crab legs, crispy Calabash-style shrimp, fresh oysters, fish, scallops, juicy steaks, and Southern sides. Hakobyan takes that tradition seriously, noting that every Calabash spot in Myrtle Beach does its breading differently and promising that Captain Nemo’s approach will stand out.

There’s also a sense of purpose behind the whole thing. Hakobyan said he’s looking to bring the location back to its previous heights, noting it used to be one of the busiest spots in Myrtle Beach.
