Angelo’s has been an institution in Myrtle Beach for more than three decades, but the self-proclaimed home of “Greatest Steaks In The Universe” has relocated three blocks to the south of the traditional location. Owner Angelo Antonucci left the cramped quarters of the old restaurant in favor of a more modern and spacious facility with plenty of parking.
Angelo’s offers a traditional Italian menu using family recipes that have stood the test of time, like Fettuccini Alfredo and Italian Sausage and Peppers. Seafood favorites are also featured, such as Shrimp Scampi and Linguini and Clam Sauce. But this place is famous for its steaks, which are deliciously seasoned and chargrilled to order. Lobster Medallions or Cajun Yellow Fin Tuna make for a great surf-and-turf selection. Angelo’s is also known for its Italian buffet, featuring Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs, ravioli and more. The combination of top-shelf choices like Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Marsala and the buffet/kid’s menu of Pizza and Stuffed Shells make Angelo’s a popular pick for families.
Angelo’s received an extreme makeover when it changed locations, with Antonucci sparing no expense to create a charming Mediterranean-themed eatery. The pastel-colored walls display traditional Italian artwork and antique mirrors. If you liked the old Angelo’s, you’ll love the new one.
