About Sea Captain’s House

What started as a beach house for vacationers in the 1930’s, transformed in 1962 to become Sea Captain’s House – a nostalgic staple among Myrtle Beach eateries. Serving guests low-country appetizers, seafood, salads, and desserts with an oceanfront view has remained a favorite among visitors and locals alike. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, and Sea Captains House always has a place for you at their table.

Sea Captain’s House Food

Sea Captain’s House features irresistible culinary creations inspired by the coastal region of South Carolina. Start your day with a Breakfast quiche, Eggs Benedict, Crab Cakes Benedict, or fill a plate from the full breakfast buffet. For Lunch or Dinner, ignite your taste buds with a hot, seafood-filled appetizer like Broiled Crab Cakes, Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, Fried Oysters or Bang-Bang Shrimp. Next, dive into a generous sandwich like the Fried Chicken Club, Grouper Tacos, Broiled Crabcake Sandwich, or the Carolina Flounder Sandwich. The salads are large and hearty: Avocado Sea Fare, Shrimp, Caesar, or Crab.  Entrees include Carolina Seafood Platter, Fresh Grilled Mahi, Traditional Shrimp & Grits, and more. They also offer vegetarian, gluten-free, and children’s menus upon request and have daily specials. Be sure to leave room for dessert! End your meal on a sweet note with Sea Captain’s House famous Hummingbird Cake or Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pike Cake, all under $7.00. They have a wine and beer list as well.

Sea Captain’s House Atmosphere

From the laid-back, nautical decor to the picturesque ocean views, guests will want to “stay anchored” at Sea Captain’s House! There are several dining areas; The Blue Room, The Chart Room, The Red Room, The Sun Room, and a newly added outdoor deck. With seasonal live music and a friendly, warm atmosphere, we promise it will be the best seat in the house! Guests can also enjoy the newly renovated bar in The Blue Room.
