About Myrtle Beach International Film Festival

The 11th annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (MBIFF), billed as “The East Coast’s answer to the Sundance Film Festival”, will take place April 20-23, 2016, at Carmike Cinema 17 Broadway at the Beach. 

Ranked one of the top 25 film festivals out of more than 5,000 by Movie Maker magazine, the event will feature films and filmmakers from all over the world. During the four-day event, 43 films will be screened with documentaries, dramas, comedies, horror movies, short films and more.

A limited amount of all-access passes are available for $50, which includes access to all film's and events. Individual tickets can also be purchased for $10 per two-hour film block. All tickets will be handled by MBIFF.

April 20: A reception is planned from 4:45-5:45 p.m. at the cinemas with an opportunity to purchase tickets. 

April 21: Thomas Hughes from Lion's Gate films will speak about the film industry at the movie theater from 1-2 p.m. A networking event is planned from 10-11:30 p.m. at Ultimate California Pizza in Myrtle Beach.

April 22: Celebrate the weekend with a complimentary BBQ dinner from Little Pigs accompanied by a New South Brewery beer tasting. The party will be held from 7-8 p.m.

April 23: From 7-8 p.m. enjoy complimentary wine tastings from Silver Coast Winery and Vineyard as well as sushi from Jimmyz Hibachi and entertainment from the Denny Hess Trio. The party will be held in the lobby of Carmike Cinema. Then from 10:00pm to 12:00am there is a Sun City Cafe After Party! This will start directly after awards ceremony with creations by Chef Cary Boyles.
