Beach Days
Dayton House was very nice. I stayed in the suites building oceanfront. The room had a kitchen, living room, two tv's, private balcony, bed in the bedroom and a pullout bed in the living room. Table and chairs. Centrally located, right near the boardwalk. You could walk just about everywhere. Lots of shops, entertainment, places to eat. Broadway at the Beach was like a ten minute drive. I love the Beach. Dayton House had chairs and umbrellas (yellow) for your convenience on the property. Parking was across the street, it wasn't bad, but if you were lucky you might get to park closer and not have to cross the street. I really enjoyed my Beach trip, will be returning summer 2019. 🌴

Alway a Great Time
This is the fifth time we have stayed at this resort. We stay in one of their efficient units which is very convenient. It is a old resort but well kept and clean. It is right on the beach and close to downtown and many other activities. It has a friendly and helpful staff, heated pools and a lovely lawn area for sunbathing which is the best on the strand.

A fun place for new and old friends.
It is a great place to stay. IT has 3 outdoor pools ,2 indoor pools. Ocean front with picnic tables and yellow umbrellas. You can have a picnic or just hang out with friends and relax just looking at the ocean.It has ocean front room or side view rooms. It also has rooms across the street. This is my favorite resort. We keep coming back, because this is a fun place to meet old friends from last year and meet new ones.

Summer Fun !!!
For my birthday in August 3rd week, my cousin and I went to Myrtle Beach, we chose the Dayton House Resort. We had a blast ! Ate a lot of good food/seafood. Paula Deen's restaurant was really nice & the food was great. We shopped, sat on the beach, went in the pool/hot tub, we were minutes from the boardwalk, we danced at Pyler Park, we also danced at Broadway at the Beach too. There was so much to do over there as well. Our sneakers lit up, and that was a lot of fun especially at night because so many people had them on children and adults too. A week is not long enough to do everything but we had fun, fun, fun ! Can not wait to return this summer 2018 !!!!

My vacation !
Stayed at the Dayton House Resort 3rd week in August ! My cousin Janet and I. We had a blast ! Fun,fun,fun, had the best food at Paula Deen's Restaurant. The weather was great, the beach was so relaxing, listening to the waves, the pools, hot tub, we loved. Did not want to leave. We danced, we shopped, we ate a lot of good seafood too. We were close to everything, the boardwalk, Broadway at the beach, all kinds of shops. It truly takes longer than a week to do everything you want to do. The band Paleo Sun was playing on the boardwalk, they were great ! And the LED sneakers , hilarious. We got those too and what a beautiful sight as it got darker and ever body including the DJ at Broadway had them on too. Everybody dancing to the music. It was just a great vacation !!!

The best resort
We drove eight hours to get to Myrtle Beach and when we got there it was about 11 o'clock and check it wasn't supposed to be in until 3. We went in to let them know we were there and they said they would get a hold of us is soon as possible but go ahead and take advantage of the resort we ended up getting a call and hour later saying that our room is ready. I have 3 kids aging 16, 12 and 4. The resort accommodated all three of the kids they had a blast. Every day we had lunch underneath the big yellow umbrellas. One of the days we were there they had a drum band come out so while we were in the pool we got to enjoy it's a little bit of entertainment which was totally amazing for our younger kids. The beach in front of the hotel was never crowded. I just can't say enough nice things about the hotel, the staff, the cleansing this of the hotel room. We will forever be a customer!!!!

I have stay at the Dayton House for several years now, but I have also stayed at other hotels in mrytle beach , and none of them compare to the Dayton House. The people are so friendly who work their, and somehow they remember my name from all the other times , I have stayed there. The rooms are always clean. And if you have a problem, you call them , and they are their the same day to fix your problem. I love the tables outside where you came sit outside and listen to the ocean, and the yellow umbrellas are a big plus.this has to be the cleanest hotel, I have been in.

We have stayed at Dayton House 3 of the 4 times we visited MB. Due to physical disabilities I cannot walk in the sand, and love to sit under the "yellow umbrellas", near the pool. The pool is a walk-in pool that doesn't get too deep, so I'm able to enjoy walking (for exercise) and resting by the side. Staff is great. Always accommodating. Rooms are clean and just what we need. We love having the fridge (for insulin and food) and make sandwiches for lunch, then go out each night. We love the attractions in the area too.

Favorite Get-A-Way Place
I love the Dayton House at Myrtle Beach. The staff does an outstanding job of keeping the grounds clean. They have a nice grassy area with tables and umbrellas facing the beach. I have a difficult time walking so staying at the Dayton House is like living on the beach. I can enjoy the ocean without having to walk in the sand to the beach. So glad that we found this place!

Love the Wade In Pool
We love the wade-in pool at this hotel. That feature is very hard to find in other resorts. We have little children, so it works great for them (and for us) since it accommodates any age range including infants. That is probably the highlight here - and it is a big highlight. Downside is that the hotel rooms are a bit hit or miss - they have gone through new renovations which do look and feel much better than before (about 2 years ago) but they are still in process of the full updates (Jan 2018).

Myrtle Beach for fun
We liked the Dayton House but it is a little dated.There room rates are a little high for the shape there rooms are in but there property & pool make up for some of the shape the rooms are in.Very good staff.The one thing I don't understand is the high daily property tax being charged.Being from Canada & our exchange rate difference has made us stay in Canada for vacations.We love Myrtle Beach & have stayed at many different properties up & down the beach.We used to visit every year sometimes twice a year.Im always looking for a deal & looking forward to our next visit.We have done Legends --- Carolina Opery & Alabama Theatre.Love it all🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍

Great family hotel
I have stayed here for years. This resort is right on the beach, so book an oceanfront view. This resort is close enough to the middle of Myrtle Beach that you can walk, but also far enough away from the craziness.

Recent Stay
Been staying there for years. Have done some updating in recent years. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Grounds are always in excellent condition. Has nice amenities. Pools are always in good condition. Made a number of new friends there over the years. All try to go the same week. Would highly recommend.

Great stay, great view
Wow what a great place to stay. Right on the water and pools at every building. Water views from everywhere with balconies. Pool bar is great for drinks and food without going inside. Rooms very large and comfortable beds. Nice to have a kitchenette.

Staying away from winter.
We usually try to spend at least the month of January in Myrtle Beach and we have stayed at the Dayton House 4 times. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, and the watching the sun come up over the ocean starts my day off right! It is close to anywhere you would like to go and the staff will help you book reservations or give you recommendations for dining. I love this place and plan to be back next January and hopefully February.

Marathon friendly

Fun and relaxing visit to the beach
The Dayton House was pretty nice. I would return again. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was a good size, right on the water and clean. The size of the pools were good and loved the lawn chairs.

Beach Get Away
We stay at this hotel every year. It is located on ocean front with easy check in. Resturant affliated with hotel gives a 10% discount to all guests. Clean pool and swim area with lunch cabana. Hot tub and a fun lazy river. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Affordable for a family or get away for 2.

Just what we needed

Great location and service at a great price!
The room was clean! The room service was good. I liked the location, we were close to everything and could walk. I would ask for a room on a higher floor (we were on the 2nd floor) just to be further away from the pool. I would go again...the price was good for ocean front, the room was perfect for us.

Great stay at Dayton House!
The Dayton House was very clean and spacious for our family of five. We was so excited about all the pools but let down because we they was not convenient in location, too spread out to let my kids go alone. The oceanview was wonderful and we loved the kitchen. Overall awesome time but was told by friend paid too much. This year we must have something about the same but allows my DOG!!

One of the best trips we ever had

relaxing visit
We requested a room that wasn't very high up because I get dizzy going out on balcony. They put us on the 9th floor so I wasn't able to go out and look at the ocean very much. We booked the room at least 6months ahead, other than them putting us on the 9th floor the stay was great. The pools was great. We had access to three different pools, sauna. we have booked a room for august of this year also, and requested again not to be put past the 4th or 5th floor.

Bad weather
We gave stayed at Dayton House many times. I like the location but hotel is beginning to show a lot of wear. Water pressure is very low, bathroom looks as if it needed cleaning. Beds were ok but I have had better. Looking for a different place for my next visit.
