The Dayton House Resort is located oceanfront in Myrtle Beach and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. My home away from home
My favorite Hotel in Myrtle Beach is The Dayton House Resort. My husband and I have stayed there 38 years , for the month of Feb and March . WE were called the snow birds. I miss it so much, it brings tears to my eyes. My husband passed away six years ago the 25th of April. My dream is to be able to visit one more time. Fantastic house keeping. Beautiful pools and hot tubs. Friendly staff ,as well as helpful, Ocean view under yellow unbrella's. Decore from each of Dayton House Resort's with Palm trees, flowers always a place to sit and enjoy the view as well as rest for a spell. Activity's each week ,a nice dinner the evening our visit was over at Uncle Johns pancake house. (My home away from home.)

Beach Days
Dayton House was very nice. I stayed in the suites building oceanfront. The room had a kitchen, living room, two tv's, private balcony, bed in the bedroom and a pullout bed in the living room. Table and chairs. Centrally located, right near the boardwalk. You could walk just about everywhere. Lots of shops, entertainment, places to eat. Broadway at the Beach was like a ten minute drive. I love the Beach. Dayton House had chairs and umbrellas (yellow) for your convenience on the property. Parking was across the street, it wasn't bad, but if you were lucky you might get to park closer and not have to cross the street. I really enjoyed my Beach trip, will be returning summer 2019. 🌴

Alway a Great Time
This is the fifth time we have stayed at this resort. We stay in one of their efficient units which is very convenient. It is a old resort but well kept and clean. It is right on the beach and close to downtown and many other activities. It has a friendly and helpful staff, heated pools and a lovely lawn area for sunbathing which is the best on the strand.

A fun place for new and old friends.
It is a great place to stay. IT has 3 outdoor pools ,2 indoor pools. Ocean front with picnic tables and yellow umbrellas. You can have a picnic or just hang out with friends and relax just looking at the ocean.It has ocean front room or side view rooms. It also has rooms across the street. This is my favorite resort. We keep coming back, because this is a fun place to meet old friends from last year and meet new ones.

I LOVED MY WEEKEND @ DAYTON HOUSE RESORT.. ME & MY HUSBAND HAD THE BEST WEEKEND EVER. WE LOVED THE OCEAN VIEW. WE WALKED ON THE BEACH @ NIGHT. THE PEOPLE WAS VERY NICE. Summer Fun !!!
For my birthday in August 3rd week, my cousin and I went to Myrtle Beach, we chose the Dayton House Resort. We had a blast ! Ate a lot of good food/seafood. Paula Deen's restaurant was really nice & the food was great. We shopped, sat on the beach, went in the pool/hot tub, we were minutes from the boardwalk, we danced at Pyler Park, we also danced at Broadway at the Beach too. There was so much to do over there as well. Our sneakers lit up, and that was a lot of fun especially at night because so many people had them on children and adults too. A week is not long enough to do everything but we had fun, fun, fun ! Can not wait to return this summer 2018 !!!!

My vacation !
Stayed at the Dayton House Resort 3rd week in August ! My cousin Janet and I. We had a blast ! Fun,fun,fun, had the best food at Paula Deen's Restaurant. The weather was great, the beach was so relaxing, listening to the waves, the pools, hot tub, we loved. Did not want to leave. We danced, we shopped, we ate a lot of good seafood too. We were close to everything, the boardwalk, Broadway at the beach, all kinds of shops. It truly takes longer than a week to do everything you want to do. The band Paleo Sun was playing on the boardwalk, they were great ! And the LED sneakers , hilarious. We got those too and what a beautiful sight as it got darker and ever body including the DJ at Broadway had them on too. Everybody dancing to the music. It was just a great vacation !!!

The best resort
We drove eight hours to get to Myrtle Beach and when we got there it was about 11 o'clock and check it wasn't supposed to be in until 3. We went in to let them know we were there and they said they would get a hold of us is soon as possible but go ahead and take advantage of the resort we ended up getting a call and hour later saying that our room is ready. I have 3 kids aging 16, 12 and 4. The resort accommodated all three of the kids they had a blast. Every day we had lunch underneath the big yellow umbrellas. One of the days we were there they had a drum band come out so while we were in the pool we got to enjoy it's a little bit of entertainment which was totally amazing for our younger kids. The beach in front of the hotel was never crowded. I just can't say enough nice things about the hotel, the staff, the cleansing this of the hotel room. We will forever be a customer!!!!

I love my stay at Dayton House
I have stay at the Dayton House for several years now, but I have also stayed at other hotels in mrytle beach , and none of them compare to the Dayton House. The people are so friendly who work their, and somehow they remember my name from all the other times , I have stayed there. The rooms are always clean. And if you have a problem, you call them , and they are their the same day to fix your problem. I love the tables outside where you came sit outside and listen to the ocean, and the yellow umbrellas are a big plus.this has to be the cleanest hotel, I have been in.

Loving MB
We have stayed at Dayton House 3 of the 4 times we visited MB. Due to physical disabilities I cannot walk in the sand, and love to sit under the "yellow umbrellas", near the pool. The pool is a walk-in pool that doesn't get too deep, so I'm able to enjoy walking (for exercise) and resting by the side. Staff is great. Always accommodating. Rooms are clean and just what we need. We love having the fridge (for insulin and food) and make sandwiches for lunch, then go out each night. We love the attractions in the area too.

We love the nice grassy areas where you can spend your days and nights. The bar area has been remodeled. Our family don't drunk, but the food is really good. Nice place to sat outside and eat. The walk in pool is so nice. We stayed at least twice a year. Love our Dayton House!!!

Favorite Get-A-Way Place
I love the Dayton House at Myrtle Beach. The staff does an outstanding job of keeping the grounds clean. They have a nice grassy area with tables and umbrellas facing the beach. I have a difficult time walking so staying at the Dayton House is like living on the beach. I can enjoy the ocean without having to walk in the sand to the beach. So glad that we found this place!

The renovated rooms are very comfortable. The ocean front views are wonderful. The pools are beautiful and temperature controlled. The jacuzzi was spacious and being outside was a plus. The lawn area was so beautiful and the swing area along the walkway was a nice place to read or just relax. This place is one of my favorite places at Myrtle Beach!

Love the Wade In Pool
We love the wade-in pool at this hotel. That feature is very hard to find in other resorts. We have little children, so it works great for them (and for us) since it accommodates any age range including infants. That is probably the highlight here - and it is a big highlight. Downside is that the hotel rooms are a bit hit or miss - they have gone through new renovations which do look and feel much better than before (about 2 years ago) but they are still in process of the full updates (Jan 2018).

We liked the Dayton House but it is a little dated.There room rates are a little high for the shape there rooms are in but there property & pool make up for some of the shape the rooms are in.Very good staff.The one thing I don't understand is the high daily property tax being charged.Being from Canada & our exchange rate difference has made us stay in Canada for vacations.We love Myrtle Beach & have stayed at many different properties up & down the beach.We used to visit every year sometimes twice a year.Im always looking for a deal & looking forward to our next visit.We have done Legends --- Carolina Opery & Alabama Theatre.Love it all🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍

Great family hotel

Staying away from winter.
We usually try to spend at least the month of January in Myrtle Beach and we have stayed at the Dayton House 4 times. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, and the watching the sun come up over the ocean starts my day off right! It is close to anywhere you would like to go and the staff will help you book reservations or give you recommendations for dining. I love this place and plan to be back next January and hopefully February.

We requested a room that wasn't very high up because I get dizzy going out on balcony. They put us on the 9th floor so I wasn't able to go out and look at the ocean very much. We booked the room at least 6months ahead, other than them putting us on the 9th floor the stay was great. The pools was great. We had access to three different pools, sauna. we have booked a room for august of this year also, and requested again not to be put past the 4th or 5th floor.
