The best Compass Cove building for your vacation depends on the size of your travel party: The Indigo and Schooner buildings are ideal for 2 to 4 guests, Compass Cove Pinnacle Tower has rooms for twosomes and groups of up to 8, and the Mariner building’s larger condos sleep 6 to 10 guests with ease.

Great Room, BUT the GHOST SCARED the S*IT OUT OF US!!!!

We had a great room #761 with ocean view. (7th floor). However, whenever we would leave the room, the top dresser drawer where the Holy Bible was in, would be open. I thought my friend forgot to close it, but it actually happened at least 10 times! When we realized that neither of us had opened the drawer, we watched and took videos of it happening....I will post video on YouTube. We had a great time in Myrtle Beach, so I think the ghost was just welcoming us to Compass Cove.

Something for everyone!

We love Compass Cove and spend every February there except this year we are unable to due to COVID and having our border closed making it it impossible to be there. We are certainly looking forward to 2022 and enjoying once again everything Compass Cove has to offer, the amazing views from our balcony, especially the sunrises and the dolphins jumping, the lovely swimming pools in which I spend many happy hours, the delicious food in the restaurants and mostly the friendly and always helpful staff.

We spent a few days at Compass Cove and really enjoyed our stay as always. We stay there every time we go to the beach. We always get our breakfast at the restaurant there at the resort. I have to say that the waitress was the best server. Her name is Jennifer Rush. If you stay there always ask for her. The beach is great!

We love it that when we get up early enough - that we can watch the sunrise - no trees or buildings are in our way. The waves are so comforting to listen to. The sun is so warm that we can sit on our balcony and get a tan, even tho it is chilly in the open air. It’s like coming home

Unfortunately, my granddaughter didn't like the pool - any of them. She was happy to stand on the balcony and "watch" people in the water. By the end of our time there, she was ok with the lazy river. I am trying to get back there - she is old enough to enjoy everything that is there and she loves swimming now.

Feel Like I Grew Up There

When our wives gave my son-in-law and I a trip to Myrtle Beach about 24 years ago the local travel agent booked us in to The Swamp Fox. Since that trip we have returned every year since staying at the Fox and the The Compass Cove almost every year. My boyfriend and I choose to reserve a room at Compass Cove Resort each time we go to Myrtle Beach because we are never disappointed with our visit. The room is always clean and well appointed. We stayed at Compass Cove Resort in late August through early September and we had an amazing time staying there.Customer service was very friendly and helpfu.l.The amenities were awesome!!!so many pools and hot tubs. We ate at the Crows Nest multiple time and enjoyed drinking one night also there.The tiki bucket was spectacular!! Beach access was easy and convenient.Our was very nice and clean and you can't beat an oceanfront balcony!!!!Parking was OK we only had to park across the street one night so that wasn't bad really.Overall this is a great hotel in my opinion and we will definitely be back again.Thank You

The Only Resort We Stay At

We go to Myrtle Beach at least once, if not twice a year. We found Compass Cove after staying at another chain for the first few visits. Once we stayed at Compass Cove we were hooked. Tons of pools, hot tubs and lazy rivers. Water slides and a large kiddie area. 3 bars/restaurants and a Starbucks. My son loves their kids club. Stayed at compass cove a few days last summer and both me and my wife loved it , not to mention my kids.Great facilities friendly staff super clean lots of pools etc.It was right on the beach and close to everything Myrtle Beach has to offer.Would definatly go back not only to Compasss Cove but also Myrtle Beach.

Summer get away

My mom took me, my boyfriend and brother for a 2 nighter Aug 2017 and had the time of our lives. So many pools over 20 to chose from but mainly we were at the ocean. Weather was great and the water was even better!! Time of our lives and hoping for a return this Aug 2018 for a longer stay!!

Compass Cove is the Best!

Swannanoa Our favorite Hotel is Compass Cove in Myrtle Beach. My 5 year old Grandson, Landon, loves the twin slides at the pool area. He rides down them for hours and hours at a time. And there is also lazy river rides that he enjoys as well as the kiddie pool with the submarine. The rooms are so clean and everyone there is super nice. You make our stay very enjoyable and fun. We'll be returning there again in May 2018. We look so forward to our next visit.

Helpful and Friendly Staff

I have been staying at the Compass Cove for several years now with my husband, daughter and my daughter's best friend., and have always had a good experience. On our most recent trip (during Thanksgiving 2017), we decided that the room type we had been staying in was getting a little cramped now that the girls are getting older. The front desk was very helpful in letting us look at other room types and helping us upgrade to a suite. We had to wait until the next day to change rooms as those room types were all booked the first night, but the move was seamless. We also had to take care of an unexpected transaction involving selling my daughter's horse while there. We had not brought a computer and the front desk once again came to our aid by providing an e-mail address, printing contracts and faxing them for us. All in all, it was a great stay and we were spoiled with the larger accommodations. I was pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness and the décor. I will definitely choose them again.

Best Vacation Ever!

My granddaughter and I stayed here for a week. We were on the beach every day. When we weren't, the hotel is in close proximity to everything, esp. the amusement rides. The staff was wonderful. The room was very clean.

Great getaway with plenty of amenities!

The rooms are kept modern/updated, clean, and there was plenty of parking as well. We enjoyed the resort, with plenty of amenities including several hot tubs (indoor and outdoor), pools, water slides, etc, and everything is kept clean and managed well. This is a great resort for the cooler months because so much of the amenities are indoors so you can use them without being cold :) - I highly recommend. Their breakfast buffet is also very good although they do serve a not so great coffee, just a warning haha.

Great Location

We live in Lumberton, NC and have stayed at the Compass Cove Resort several times. We really like the resort. It's location is near everything. The amenities are wonderful including the Crow's Nest Restaurant which has so really good food. The view of the sun coming up over the ocean from the upper floors is breathtaking. I would recommend this resort to everyone!

Being Thankful

This year we brought my 95 year old father to Myrtle Beach so that he too could experience the beauty of Myrtle Beach, as our family has for 27 years. He finally agreed to come along. While we were unable to stay at Compass Cove, which was our first resort in Myrtle Beach-we were able to reserve a family dinner at their Restaurant. It is a testament to the family that owns Compass Cove as we were still able to see staff and enjoy the cooking from the cook from 27 years ago! This has always been our safe place and home away from home. We always look forward to seeing what”s new on their well kept properties. Many memories come rolling in like the waves! We are blessed and thankful to be able to visit at every opportunity.

If you are wanting to just take a relaxing trip it is a great place to do that as well!! You can do as little or as much as you like. Most of the people i asked about staying anywhere down there told me about compass cove. It really is a nice place. Better than what i expected honestly. I know of other people who have went to other hotels and compass cove has came through with the needs because other hotels have messed up their rooms and what not. Plan on going back next year.

7 nights wasn't enough! Great resort, with several pools, hot tubs, and lazy river. Restaurants were good, especially Compass Rose breakfast buffet, couldn't ask for more and the service was above and beyond. Corner suite was really nice, comfortable and the view was unbelievable. We went to relax and that's what we had, rest and relaxation. Great location away from the hustle and bustle and just minutes from the airport. Laundry and free DVD movies were a plus.

Henrico I have been going to Myrtle Beach for as long as I can remember. My parents are both from Florence and both transfered to Richmond before I was born. My grand parents lived in Florence until I lost my last one last year. Going to Myrtle Beach is like going home for me. And I love taking my family every year. Our Honeymoon

This was our first time to Myrtle Beach and for our honeymoon, it was breath taking. Compass Cove exceeded our expectations; the room was cozy and romantic and friendly to our budget. What made it the most special was being able to fall asleep listening to the sounds of the waves rolling in on the beach. We would definitely stay there again.

Christmas at the Beach

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at Compass Cove. We enjoyed all of the pools, eventhough it was a little chilly outside, the lazy river was at bathtub temperature, so it was delightful. Plenty of places open, even on Christmas day. Hope we can go back soon.

Perfect!!

Our flight got changed due to inclement weather and my husband and I couldn't fly out for another 2 days. We did not want to stay at the current hotel we were at "The Reef" for 1 more night that hotel was horrible. So we made reservations for a 2 night stay at Compass Cove which was just 5 hotels down from The Reef. Upon checking out of the Reef at 11am I decided to take a walk over to Compass Cove to inquire if there was anyway we could check in earlier then 3pm as we had groceries with us from being at the Reef. The receptionist immediately took our information and said we could get our groceries and she would put it in a fridge for us and as soon as a room was available she would call us and she gave us the hotel pool bands so that we could enjoy the amenities while we waited. We went to our car to grab our groceries and brought them into the registration area to be put in their fridge upon doing so the front desk manager asked for our last name and said "I think I have a room ready let me check and if so we will get you right in to your room instead of having to wait" I could not believe it, a room was ready and she got us checked in right away. We checked out of The Reef at 11am and were in our room at Compass Cove by 11:30am and for no extra charge for an early check in, Amazing!!! And once we got to our room we were even more pleased, it was a beautiful room, very clean, king size bed and kitchenette for our groceries... We love Myrtle Beach and will definitely either be visiting again or moving there for sure!!!

Off season fun

My daughter and I had a lovely visit to Myrtle Beach in January. The hotel offered free DVDs, indoor pool, and a view of the ocean. We also enjoyed Ripley's attractions, and the Hollywood Wax museum. Jimmy Buffet's Marguaritaville was great. Our accomodations were fine, and a lovely breakfast was included. The staff were very helpful.

Best Place to stay in Myrtle Beach

We have stayed there for 6 years in a row. The rooms are always clean and have plenty of room. Parking is close to the rooms. We spent our days at the beach and our evenings in 1 of the pools or lazy rivers. The last 2 years we went we took our small grandbabies and they had a fantastic time in the lazy rivers. Compass Rose has the best breakfast around. I am in love with their bananas and cream. We are planning our next vacation and we will definatly stay at Compass Cove.

We found the compass cove by chance. I was researching a hotels recommended by a friend and I saw their website. I was impressed by the number of amenities. We booked our stay... and now would never book anywhere else! The staff is polite and helpful. Our room was clean and ready for our arrival. The amenities are great, you don't even need to leave the hotel to have a great time! The food is amazing.. no matter what time of day, there is always something for everyone! And now they have a Starbucks in the lobby But my favorite part is the view- we get an ocean front suite... it's beautiful! Can't wait to see the Compass Cove this summer!

The only place I’ve stayed for 15 years

Compass Cove is my favorite place to stay. I and my family have been staying here for around 15 years. It feels like coming home when we get there. We make the trip to Myrtle Beach 1 to 3 times a year. They have many types of rooms available and are clean and comfy. My son loves all the water features...so many pools and lazy rivers!! Great food at the Compass Rose and the Crow's Nest and love being able to grab something to eat and drink at the Tiki Hut while enjoying the day by the pool. The DVD rentals are a great perk too for something to do late at night. The children's activities are fun for the kids. My son loved doing them when he was small, but he's older now. The staff is friendly and helpful. Compass Cove has everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach!

First time at the ocean!

This was a sad time for me since my husband passed away and his wishes were to put his ashes in the ocean. The view from our room was spectacular! I stayed up all night and sat on the balcony just watching the water and listening to the ocean. I loved all of the pools and lazy rivers. I would definitely stay here again!

One of best vacations ever!

Although very pleased with the room (2 beds), was disappointed that there was a mix up when reserving thru Book It. We thought we were getting a 2 room suite, which is what we wanted due to having our 27 yr old son vacationing with us. No 2 BR suites were available due to it being Labor Day week, unless we swapped rooms multiple times (mid-week) which wasn't worth it to us. Love the pools, poolside bar, buffet breakfast, and ocean view cafe. This made it convenient to eat breakfast & lunch without leaving the hotel. We have been vacationing at MB every year since our son was born 27 yrs ago! Often times 2-3 times per year...please keep us in mind for discounts since we are frequent patrons! Used to stay at Crown Reef every year but last couple of years it has been needing updates so we stopped going there.

Excellent, family-friendly place

We've stayed at Compass Cove every year but one since 1999 and we love it. We've always had a great time. The staff is excellent. It's a very family-oriented place. The property is so huge and there are so may amenities that there is always something to do; no need to worry about bad weather. The rooms have always been bright and cheery and clean. We look forward to our stay every year.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. We really like the on-site restaurant too. Myrtle Beach is our special place We go every year and we honeymooned there in May 1979. We always have a great time. So much to do and see. Now our kids and grandkids are loving it too. Not that far from Raleigh, NC and a good vacation for the money. Looking forward to returning again soon

Relaxing in the lazy river!

We decided to take a family vacation to a peaceful getaway. The hotel and staff were wonderful. The only regrets I had is we didn't Stay long enough. Our view from our oceanfront room at the Compass cove was amazing. I miss falling asleep to the sounds fr the waves of the ocean.

Great for the Family and Couples

Our family has stayed at Compass Cove the last 2 years in a row. We make a yearly vacation to Myrtle Beach. We have stayed at many hotels there but after we found Compass Cove last year we wont stay any where else. Our kids love the water slides, lazy river, the giant chess and checker board. The wife and I love the rooms and the staff. We love the restaurant/Bar and the Tiki hut outside. There's nothing like sitting at the pool while the kids play and we sit back and drink the awesome Voodoo Juice. Im at The Compass Cove now and this is the #1 hotel in Myrtle beach. U dont even have to leave the grounds have everything you need. It has lots of pools,spa's,lazy rivers and splash pads.And may add a bar inside and TIKI bar on ocean. YAY!!!!! You need to visit at least once and give it a try you will love it.

Family Fun

Every October, my family travels to Myrtle Beach for a last chance "Summer" vacation. This past year, we all decided on Compass Cove. As a mother of two small children, I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities available for children. We also traveled with a teenager, who LOVED the 2 water slides at the resort! Even the adults were entertained with the many water activities, including the 3 lazy rivers. The Breakfast buffet was delicious, and the wait staff were very helpful and attentive. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! We all enjoyed ourselves so much, we decided to return to Compass Cove this October!

Nice place to stay, friendly staff

We was put in the Indigo Tower at first and the air conditioning didn’t work, and it was really musty smelling. Went to front desk explained our concerns, they upgraded us at no charge to the Pinnacle which is 1000% nicer than Indigo. We was on the 16th floor had a very nice room and awesome view. The breakfast included is good, and the food at restaurant inside Pinnacle tower is really good. We had a great time, and enjoyed our stay.

Not a bad place to stay!

We vacationed here at the beginning of August and for the most part, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and just the perfect size for us fully equipped with everything we needed. Staff were all nice. Though the beds weren't all that comfy.. I give it a 4 star because it seemed like the elevators took FOREVER, and there are 3/4 of them and they all exit to a parking garage. So walking to an elevator to go to your room, or going to someone in the resort from your room seemed like a long walk. Plus we had a toddler with us so that made making trips back and forth from the room to places or vise versa, a LONG stretch and then once we got there, we would be waiting forever for an elevator to open and when it did sometimes it was full of people so we would just would wait on the next available one. But other than that, it was a great place right on the beach with good eating places there in the resort. Oh and due to COVID, the buffet was chaotic full of people every morning (because they issue everyone a free breakfast pass) so not only are you waiting forever for a table but the staff has to make your plate from the buffet so it took forever to get a plate let alone a table, but I won't blame the resort for that one, not their fault just typical COVID restrictions causing madness.

My "ZEN" waking up from a beautiful room that is right on the beach and going downstairs to go walking along the beach looking for unusual seashells or just sitting on the beach and watching the ocean roll in and listening to the waves wash ashore. It totally relaxes me and makes all my family pressures go away for awhile. I love looking for dolphins and hoped to one day see a whale. So many things to do in Myrtle Beach from shopping, sight seeing, arcades, etc.............Love it there.

Vacay with the Grandchildren

We came up last year with the grandchildren after the hurricane and flooding. We couldn't play with the grandchildren on the beach or in the ocean because they were still toxic. That didn't seem to matter to them as long as they had the pools, slides and lazy rivers. The one disappointment from the resort was the short amount of time the slides were open which we were told was due to short staffing. Other than that we all had a really wonderful time and although I felt the room we were in needed updating (we stayed in the middle area) it wasn't the worst I've ever stayed in. We come to Myrtle in the Spring and Fall each year and love it each time we come up.

The food in the breakfast buffet is magnificent and the food that is served throughout the day in the bar is very good. Resort is very well kept. Very clean and beds were uber comfy. We have stayed here a few times and it will be my go to. My only real complaints are as follows: most other facilities offer free breakfast daily. With the cost of rooms in the area, this should be offered at every resort and second there is no where near enough handicapped parking or valet handicapped!! Otherwise great place to stay!

Love the water features and the way they are spread out so you can escape the hustle bustle or be in the middle of it. 2017 I noticed some changes. No supervision over the water features so lots of kids taking over everything. The cleaning was as pristine as in other years. Love the rooms. Love the view. Love the beach. Love the people. Elevators are tooooooo slow. The included breakfast is a nice addition but not a lot of healthy choices. Walking distance to some very nice Restaurents. A bit shady in the evening on the streets. Don't go in May during the bike weeks. Too much strip noise and very unsettling atmosphere.

We stay at compass cove every year. We get a two or three bedroom condo ocean front. The views are beautiful in the morning from the balcony. It is great to have parking at the resort instead of parking across the street. We love the hot tubs and the heated lazy river. If there are minor problems with the appliances the maintenance staff is always prompt in responding and resolves the problem quickly

Wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving!

We were amazed at the recovery progress following the hurricane. Everything was wonderful from the room to the Crow's Nest to the meals at the Compass Rose. The Thanksgiving buffet had pretty much everything we would have had at home. As usual, the staff were very friendly, attentive and courteous. The weather also contributed toward making our stay one to remember. We can't wait to come back again!

In the past 15 years, we have visited Myrtle Beach about 11 years. It's our favorite vacation spot, everything we need and want is there. We've stayed at Compass Cove about 4 times. The staff is always so nice and helpful, we've always enjoyed the Crow's nest bar and the Karaoke and food. Many water atractions to keep us entertained for hours and located on the beach for the best of both worlds. We just love it there.

I absolutely loved it!! The beach was simply marvoulous.I loved sitting on the beach watching the waves come in and out.It was so peaceful and relaxing.I marveled at gods creation.My room was clean and cozy and the view on the balcony of the ocean was amazing.I sat and just relaxed and listened to the waves crashing to the shore. Our room was an efficiency with a kitchenette.It was spacious and felt very comfortable.The amenities was great! We enjoyed the many pools, the lazy rivers and the hot tubs.My son was just a toddler at the time and he loved the submarine.The staff was very curtious and helpful when needed.Housekeeping was very friendly.I went to beach when I was a child and then with my son.I really want to come back to the beach but finances makes it impossible so I hope and pray I win this vacation for me and the family so I can just relaxed and enjoy God's creation.Thank you and have a great day and god bless whoever reads this.

The staff at Compass Cove were super nice and accommodating. They were friendly - always saying hi if we passed them, and most would ask if we were enjoying our stay/needed anything. Everything public and within the rooms were clean and felt fresh. The beds were semi-comfortable, but I wasn't permanently sleeping in it, so it was okay for a few nights. The amenities were a lot of fun for the entire family. The closeness to the beach and pools... the kids had a blast.

Enjoyed the location. We prefer not to be close to the boardwalk area, to much traffic. They have a really good breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time at Compass Cove. The room was great. We got a 3-bedroom condo & there was plenty of space & privacy--we had 7 people total in our group. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the fact there was no in-room coffee service. My husband loves his coffee & that was a little disappointing. Overall we had a great stay!

Great time, friendly staff

Usualy stay in north myrtle beach south was just as beautiful....hotel staff was very accomidating. Didn't like all the small pools or the amount of chlorine at the waterslide pool but overall it was a gret time. I plan to move there in the next few years.

Great location and great time at the beach!

My stay at the beach is always a good experience. I've been going to the beach for over 40 years. The food and accommodations are near by, people are very nice. Have alot of family living in surrounding towns.

This is our 6th year to the Compass Cove. It has been a very family friendly resort and staff will go above and beyond with assistance when needed.

Family fun

Very fun place to stay lots of pools with things to do for large age range. Room was spacious. Only complaint wAs the elevators. They wore tore up more than they worked. Took us 5 hours to check out due to high volume. The need a solution to accomadate the number of guests using elevators.

Clean, spacious room with a nice patio!

My husband and I were visiting the area for my birthday. The room was big enough for the two of us and clean. We had the pool outside our patio door which was nice. The beach was only footsteps away. We really enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have a car which made it a little inconvenient to do any site seeing or nite life. We took a cab to Broadway at the Beach which was nice but little pricey for the ride. We will come again but when the weather is a little warmer and get a rental car. The location of this hotel was in the upper end of MB where it's less traffic and more quieter.

Wonderful trip turned bad :(

Compass Cove was wonderful; the staff couldn't hgave been kinder or more accommodating. Unfortunately when we spent the day down at the Springmaid Fishing Pier, our car was broken into in the Springmaid visitors parking garage and our personal belongings (purse, cash, credit cards, cell phones, hotel room keys) stolen. The security people at Springmaid were less than courteous. Upon return to our hotel, the staff at Compass Cove were simply outstanding, offering to check our room for us, clean the broken glass out of our car, cover the broken window with plastic, return our remaining days in cash so that we could return home... it started out so beautifully and ended so horribly. If we ever return to Myrtle Beach it would be to Compass Cove.

The hotels rooms where very clean and well maintained. We really didn't stay in our room except to eat lunch, take a shower, and sleep. The staff was always up every morning cleaning the pools and making the place look great!!

Compass Cove

We stayed at Compass Cove and I loved it. My husband didn't like the parking garage because it seems you are going around in circles to get to one floor to the next. I liked it because you park on the same floor as your room.

Compass Cove is the Place to be

We have stayed here during the summer several times and now spend two winter months here. The rooms are clean and they work very hard, replacing things all the time. It's reasonable for what you get. Great pools and play areas, beautiful ocean front, good restaurants, activities for kids in summer and snowbirds in winter. I highly recommend it.

The outside area is beautiful. Many pools and hot tubs to enjoy. The kids enjoyed the slides and lazy rivers. The rooms though are out dated and just not nice at all. Some days the maids cleaned the room and some days they never showed up at all. The front desk was not polite and short in general when I asked any questions. Overall wouldn't stay here again. I have stayed at the Breakers Resort and it's just a nicer place to be.

The check in was a night mare we arrived at 3:00 PM for check in and no rooms were ready we had to hang around the parking lot along with a lot of other people 3 hours when we finally got to our room the ice maker in the fridge didn't work and the ice machine on our floor (8th) didn't work either we had to go to the 12th floor to get ice after we went and got our own ice bucket the fridge also leaked water on the floor on the other hand the restaurant was excellent and the pools for the kids and adults were top shelf.

First time maybe last

First time staying at this resort with family. Great options for kids (my son loved the submarine pool). Entertainment was a plus (could hear it from our balcony). Parking was okay. My only complaint is about the house keeping, first couple days it was good then it went down hill, they came to the door we would tell them we were leaving in a few minutes that they could come back, instead of coming back they handed us bath towels, etc and left. Later when we came back to the hotel thinking our room was clean it was not, trash was not emptied, previous towels that were used still laying on the floors and the floors were not vacuumed. For the price that you pay we expect our room to be clean the right way and not half done.

NICE TRIP TO THE BEACH

IT WAS A NICE HOTEL THE STAFF WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE. I WAS TO CLOSE TO THE BAR AND THE CUSTOMERS WERE A LITTLE LOUD BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT BOTHERED ME.

Mixed experience at Compass Cove

We booked a room with ocean front view but got the worse room in the house. They moved us the next day and front desk was very nice. The Restaurant was over priced and waitress was rude. The kids club was great.

Relaxing family vacation

Our family loves Myrtle Beach. We went two years ago for the first time and it is now our March Break Family Favourite Getaway. We love staying on the beach. We stay at a hotel with a kitchen for a quick lunch and snacks. We head out for dinner each night as a family. We look forward to at least one over cast day to fit in some shopping at the outlet mall. Can't wait until March Break!

Room was not reserved as promised

When I called for reservations I informed "whoever" that I had severe rheumatoid arthritis. I requested a first floor room and was assured I would get one. Upon arrival, check-in was chaos, no one had any idea what I was talking about and I did not get a first floor room. We registered there because of the assurance of the room. I can't remember the circumstance but was lied to concerning another issue important to me at the time. I feel like you get told whatever you want to hear at the reservation desk. Then once you get there you are stuck. It would been much better to say no you can not have that and I would have continued my search.
