Description
About Mr. Fish

This Myrtle Beach mainstay is a hit among locals who know where to go for the freshest seafood in town, and visitors have caught on to the secret. That’s why Mr. Fish recently moved a bit north to a much larger facility in Myrtle Beach. Co-owner Ted Hammerman is a renowned fisherman who gets his catch right off the boat, while daughter Shanna is the creative genius behind this hot spot.

Mr. Fish’s Food

Fresh is the key to good seafood, and Mr. Fish has that angle covered. But it’s how they prepare the fresh catch that sets this place apart. Check the dry-ewrase board for daily specials, like the blackened grouper, seared tuna or fried flounder. The menu also features many of the people’s favorites, like the shrimp and grits or crab cakes. Sushi is the latest craze at Mr. Fish, which offers all the usual rolls and sushimi classics plus a few of their own thrown in for good measure. Fresh oysters and shrimp from nearby McClellansville are steamed to perfection, along with king crab legs and other treasures from the sea. A full bar lets guests wash it all down with a cold beer or mixed drink.

Mr. Fish Atmosphere

The new Mr. Fish location represents a step up in class for this restaurant, which used to be crammed into a small strip mall. Now the family/casual dining room and bar area are large enough to accommodate the big crowds that have discovered the secret. Mr. Fish has come a long way in terms of atmosphere since its days as seafood market and grill.
