About Myrtle Beach Hot Chocolate Classic Run

The second annual Myrtle Beach Hot Chocolate Classic, which includes both one-mile run and 5k events, will be held Jan. 27, 2024, at Broadway at the Beach.

The family-friendly event raises money for local schools with fun and exciting race events and activities, including a live DJ and music.

The Myrtle Beach Hot Chocolate 5k steps off at 8 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk starting at 8:30 a.m. School staff can compete in the Marshmallow Challenge, and school mascots will participate in a foot race. Local schools will receive $1 per participant with additional money going to the school with the highest participation.

Cost for the 5k is $45, 1-mile fun run is $25. Participation in the marshmallow challenge is free. A virtual option is also available. Participants will get a race bib, hot chocolate bar, long-sleeve shirt, and post-race snacks. 5k participants will also receive a participant medal.
