About Run to the Sun Car Show
The Run to the Sun Car Show, one of the largest in the Southeast, brings thousands of classic cars to Myrtle Beach for a weekend-long event. The Pee Dee Street Rodders host the event, which has been a staple on the Grand Strand for more than 30 years.
The show includes thousands of pre-1989 cars and trucks. The 2020 event was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic, but 2019’s winning car and truck were a 1957 Dodge Coronet and a 1966 F100 Ford.
In addition to bringing classic-car enthusiasts from around the country together, the show raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Pee Dee Street Rodders have donated more than $1.8 million to charities since its founding in 1987.
The show runs daily at the old Myrtle Square Mall.
