Garrison Keillor Tonight is a lively evening of stand-up, storytelling, song, and poetry. One man, one microphone. The show includes sung sonnets, limericks, musical jokes, all celebrating the beauty of growing old and finding joy in less. Mistakes and big ambitions are behind, with contentment in small pleasures.

There’s news from Lake Wobegon, a town booming with new entrepreneurs, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf, breeders of composting worms, and dogs trained to do childcare. Traditions endure, like the Living Flag on Main Street, with townsfolk in formation wearing red, white, or blue, including Mr. Keillor, standing close to neighbors like Myrtle Krebsbach (“Truckstop”) and Julie Christensen (“Bruno, The Fishing Dog”). It all wraps up with an a cappella sing-along of patriotic songs, pop standards, hymns, and the national anthem.
