The buffet includes an omelette station, pancakes, apple streusel, sliced ham, bacon, sausage, roasted beef tenderloin and a selection of fresh fruits and salads. Drink specials include $5 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. Brunch is $25.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. The regular Sea Captain’s House menu will also be available.

Ripley’s Aquarium

Join Ripley’s Aquarium for the Mom & Me Beaks and Brushes event on Saturday, May 7. Create a masterpiece painting together while enjoying the sea life at Ripley’s Aquarium, including the adorable penguins. Ticket includes aquarium admission, a “Mom”-mosa beverage, appetizers, flower for mom, and art supplies.
Note: Beaks and Brushes is not a penguin experience. You may view the penguins in their playhouse when you explore the aquarium.

Take a Spin on the Skywheel

Give Mom a bird’s eye view of the oceanfront from the Myrtle Beach Skywheel located on the Boardwalk in the heart of the city. Not your typical ferris wheel, the Skywheel rises 187 feet into the air and features climate-controlled enclosed gondolas for an enjoyable ride no matter the temperature. The Skywheel is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mother’s Day.

The Lowcountry Zoo features a variety of native animals, including one very hardworking mom. John was recently joined on exhibit by her five otter pups. Watch them swim and play daily at the zoo.

Treat Mom to a wine tasting at the fun and friendly Duplin Winery at Broadway at the Beach. Duplin is a laid-back winery offering a variety of sweet Southern muscadine wines. Wine tastings include 10 samples, which your host will walk you through, explaining the flavors and history of each wine. For $15, you can upgrade to a deluxe tasting, which includes gourmet cheese dip, crackers, and a full glass of wine after the tasting. Duplin often has live music on the patio, a perfect spot to unwind with Mom.

Think outside the box, and take Mom on an unforgettable journey for Mother’s Day. Myrtle Beach Dolphin Cruises leave daily from Little River on the Sea Screamer and Sea Thunder tour boats. The two-hour tours are hosted by experienced crew members, who will narrate your journey through the Intracoastal Waterway and out into the ocean where cruisers will look for dolphins.
