At over 115,000 fans, the MyrtleBeach.com Facebook page is even more informative than it has been. Each fan has something unique to offer- from advice and recommendations to travel information. Of course, we chime in to help where we can but our fans are some of the most knowledgeable ones out there!

On the rare occasion that it rains in Myrtle Beach (we get 215 sunny days on average), there are lots of ways to stay entertained. A rainy day provides the perfect excuse for a day filled with outlet shopping, perusing the stores at the mall or hitting up Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing boutiques. Ripley’s Aquarium and exhibits, The Children’s Museum of South Carolina, MagiQuest, Medieval Times and Pirates Voyage will all have your little ones begging for another day of rain. Holly Carey said she likes to “recoup from the sunny days and do nothing but chill in the condo.”

Sometimes a day at the beach isn’t complete without the perfect soundtrack. We asked folks to come up with the song that they think best represents Myrtle Beach. Of course “Shaggin’ on the Boulevard,” “Carolina on my Mind” and “Myrtle Beach Days” were the top three songs mentioned. “Toes,” “Margaritaville” and “Under the Boardwalk” are other fan favorites. Elaine Smith said “just beach music in general reminds me of Myrtle Beach. We agree!
