Easter 2019 in Myrtle Beach: Sunrise services, Easter brunch, and egg hunts

If you’ll be in Myrtle Beach for Easter or Spring Break this year, check out these events and specials to get a feel for what’s going on around town.

Take in a sunrise worship service, gather for brunch or attend an Easter egg hunt at one of several locations around the Grand Strand. There are plenty of fun and special events taking place all over the beach. 



Easter Worship & Sunrise Services

Looking for places to worship on Easter Sunday? Many area churches offer sunrise services on the beach. It’s a unique and moving experience.

Oceanfront Sunrise Services

Grand Strand Baptist Church | Second Avenue Pier, Myrtle Beach, SC | The Easter Sonrise service is an annual tradition for Grand Strand Baptist Church. Join them at 6:30 a.m. for worship and a short message. 

Faith Presbyterian Church | 79th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC | Easter Sunrise Services is on the beach at 79th Avenue North. Bring a blanket or folding chair if you don’t wish to stand for the service. 

Christ United | Christ United Church will be holding a 6 a.m. sunrise service on Easter Sunday outside at Bummz Beach Cafe at 2002 North Ocean Boulevard. Guests may bring a chair if they do not wish to stand. A continental breakfast will follow service. 

Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church | Conch Cafe in Garden City Beach, SC | Sonrise service will take place on the beach at 6:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast following at Shepherd of the Sea church. 

Trinity United Methodist Church | 17th Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC | Sunrise service will be held Easter Sunday on the beach at 17th Avenue South at 6:30 a.m. . Please bring flowers and lawn chairs for the service.


Easter Brunch & Hotel Specials

Easter Brunch & Hotel Specials

Dave & Buster’s| Dave & Buster’s at Broadway at the Beach will host Brunch with the Bunny on Saturday, April 13 from 9 am until noon. The price is $25 per person for the buffet + a $10 game card or $15.50 for the buffet only. Children 2 and under are free. There will also be an easter egg hunt at 9:30 am but don’t forget to bring a basket!

Ripley’s Aquarium| Join Ripley’s Aquarium for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. The price is $25 for ages 12+  and $10 for ages 10 and under. Aquarium admission is included and there will be other activities and games, a private mermaid show, and a live DJ!

Hard Rock Cafe| Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach will be hosting Breakfast with the Bunny on Saturday, April 20 from 9 am until 10:30 am. The buffet will include pancake, pastries, bacon, eggs, and more. Children will receive a special treat from the Easter Bunny! The price is $20.65 for ages 11+; $9.95 for ages 3-10; and free for ages 2 and under with a paying adult. 

House of Blues| Join the House of Blues at Barefoot Landing for their famous Gospel Brunch on Easter Day at 9 a.m. The Gospel Brunch features an all-you-can-eat southern style buffet with live gospel music for $35 for adults; $17.50 for children ages 4-10; and free for children under 4. 

Ocean Creek Resort | 1600 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

A buffet will be served during three seating at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. The buffet includes a variety of salads and appetizers, crab stuffed flounder, chicken piccata, black oak ham, and more! Sea Watch Resort | 161 Seawatch Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

Join the Sea Watch Resort for one of two seatings this Easter for brunch. Meals will be at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Captain’s Cove Restaurant and include a variety of salads and entrees, a carving station, and desserts. Price is $27.95 for adults and $13.95 for children 4-12. 

The Caravelle | 6803 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

Easter brunch will be held at St. John’s Inn, part of The Caravelle Resort, from 11: a.m until 3 p.m., Sunday, April 21. The buffet-style meal includes assorted salads, carved ribeye, honey glazed ham, and more. Price is $21.95 for adults, $8.95 for children 11 and under, and free for children 3 and under. Reservations recommended. 

Beach Cove | 4800 S. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582

 The Tradewinds Cafe inside Beach Cove Resort will host an Easter buffet from 11 am until 2 pm on April 21. Selections include a variety of salads, Southern-style entrees, and desserts. Price is $20.99 for adults; $9.99 for children 4-12; and free for children 3 and under. Military members dine for $14.99. 

Crown Reef Resort| 2913 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

 Enjoy an Easter buffet from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Grab & Go Cafe at Crown Reef Resort. The breakfast buffet will include waffle and omelet stations, bacon, sausage, pastries, and more. The price is $11.95 for adults and free for kids under 4. Crown Reef guests can save $1 on the buffet price.

Landmark Resort| 1501 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

 Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 am until 11 am on Easter Sunday at Landmark Resort! 


Easter Egg Hunts

Easter Egg Hunts

McLean Park: McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach will host their annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20. Egg hunts will be divided according to age groups and refreshments will be provided by the North Strand Optimist Club. Bring your camera for photos with Ms. Blossom.

Surfside Beach: The town of Surfside Beach will host an Easter Egg Hunt and children’s festival from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. 

Conway Recreation Complex: The Conway Recreation Complex will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13 for different age groups! The hunts will be held at 11 a.m. for ages 1-2; 11:15 am for ages 3-5; 11:30 am for ages 6-8; and 11:45 am for ages 9-12. The Easter Bunny will also be on-site for photos! 

Flashlight Egg Hunt: Kids ages 11-14 can get in on the Easter fun with a flashlight Easter egg hunt on Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 at Riverfront Park in Conway. Bring a flashlight to participate.
