About Noizy Oyster

The Restaurant

Family-owned and operated by Maryland transplants, the Noizy Oyster brings a taste of the Chesapeake Bay to the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach. Although the building has been a restaurant for decades, the new owners have established a strong following among locals and visitors.

The Food

The name says “Oyster” but the menu leans heavily toward crab and Maryland-style seafood, such as crab cakes filled with real lump crabmeat instead of the imitation crab and breading patties served by some local seafood restaurants. There’s even a Crab Pretzel and Crabby Mac ‘N Cheese. The crab dip is also generous on the crabmeat, and steamed crab legs and blue crabs are available in season. So are oysters, of course, and you can get them steamed, raw, fried, baked, grilled or loaded. Steam buckets include a wide variety of seafood steamed in Old Bay and onions. Other seafood entrees include Blackened Ahi Tuna and the signature Shrimp and Grits, and the landfood options of steaks and ribs are surprisingly good for a seafood place. Wash it down with a cold beer or mixed drink from the bar.

The Atmosphere

The old, stand-alone building is perfect for the seafood shack and raw bar motif. Wooden walls with nautical décor give it a feel of authenticity, and the bar area draws a fun crowd to provide a casual, friendly environment.
