21 Main at North Beach Plantation offers fine, dry-aged meats, fresh seafood and sushi with all of the elegant steak house touches. Clams Casino “21” are Parmesan crusted with a pancetta double cream sauce and a crostini and one heck of a way to start your meal. Other appetizers include cashew caramel brie, Oysters Rockefeller or Calamari Friti. In addition to the mouth-watering steaks that are carefully aged for 28 days and served a la carte, 21 Main serves St. Louis Style Ribs, Colorado Lamb, shrimp and grits, braised lamb shank and Scallops 21. The menu also offers a long list of salads, soups, side dishes (don't miss the macaroni and cheese au gratin and desserts. The sushi bar is a great spot for Happy Hour and serves specialty rolls, maki, nigiri and sashimi. Reservations are suggested but not required.

Nestled in a private section of Island Vista Resort is The Cypress Room. The restaurant features views of the sparkling Atlantic and serves breakfast and dinner. Try the breakfast combinations or Heuvos Rancheros with cheese, salsa fresca, avocado and sour cream served on flour tortillas. Chef McKinnon's carefully crafted dinner selections are heavy on fresh seafood but also include tender cuts of meat and vegetarian options. The Citrus Crust Grouper entree is accompanied by sweet potato fingerlings, roasted tomato, fava beans, charred corn and an arugula pesto cream. Another fantastic dish to try is the Carolina Flounder-Crab Roulade served with Sea Island red peas, wilted kale, vine tomato olive relish and a yellow tomato-basil vinaigrette.

Martin's Restaurant

Martin's Restaurant at Long Bay Resort prides itself on serving meals that are “specially for you.” The fine dining restaurant has an eclectic menu that serves everything from Wienerschnitzel to frog legs. Soft shell crab, steamed mussels and escargot can all be found among the appetizers. Take your pick from veal, vegetarian, poultry, beef, shellfish and fish for your entrees. Popular orders include the roasted duckling with apples and Madeira wine, Tornado Neptune and the Grouper Ala Francaise. No meal at Martin's is complete without an order of the Bananas Foster prepared right at your table.

Vintage Twelve serves up Southern cuisine with a fresh, local twist. The waterfront restaurant is located at Kingston Plantation adjacent to Embassy Suites. The farm-to-table establishment uses seafood from Murrells Inlet, locally grown vegetables and homemade butter. Small plates include lump crab cakes, roasted oysters on the half shell with preserved lemon and basil and the Charleston flatbread with Pimento cheese, caramelized onion, smoked bacon and Farmer's egg. Entrees include only grass fed naturally raised beef, Carolina Mountain Trout served with smoked bacon, sweet potato salad, arugula and shallots, Jambalaya with shrimp, oysters, crab, country ham, Andouille sausage and Middlins and Mushroom Tagliatelli.

Chef Bill Austin runs the show at Austin's Ocean One restaurant at The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn. Experience the food that Golf Digest describes as “exemplary cuisine, perfectly presented.” Start off your meal with Austin's Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cake, the Bahamian Lobster Skewers or the Korean BBQ pulled pork eggroll. The pistachio and ginger crusted grouper is wildly popular and is served with Parmesan risotto, baby beans and Blue Crab basil sauce. Other entree selections include baby lamb chops, chili crusted pan seared Mahi Mahi, Filet Mignon and the Ring of Fire seafood dish made with scallops and shrimp.
