Tucked into the ground floor of the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes, fresh selections offered at WaterScapes include unique products from our local farmers and friends prepared French Mediterranean-style utilizing quality olive oils, fresh vegetables, cheeses and wholesome grains.
The seasonal, farm-to-table inspired menu is divided into Small Plates and Large Plates, mirroring the culinary trend of menu simplification. Think of them as appetizers and entrees, if you want.
Standouts on the Small Plates menu include the Seafood Crepe, filled with chunks of seafood with candied orange; the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, a trio of bite-sized cakes topped with a fried green tomato and a tempura crab claw; and the Waterscapes Salad, a bouquet of local greens springing from a round crouton surrounded by marinated asparagus and tomatoes.
The list of Large Plates includes Local Shrimp and Grits with a tomato and leek red-eye gravy; Pan-seared Black Grouper with truffled cauliflower mash with roasted fennel tomato sauce; and a USDA Prime New York Strip, with crispy fingerling potatoes, haricot verts, and a green peppercorn demi-glace.
The menu also features vegetarian and gluten free options.
The spacious dining room resembles a quaint bistro style environment. In addition, a separate private dining room is available for special occasions, and outdoor seating is available in the warmer months. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6:30 am – 10:00pm.
