Kick Off the Christmas Season
Myrtle Beach is a great place to get into the Christmas spirit with many holiday events kicking off in November.
•Dickens Christmas Show and Festival: November 11-14 | Get into the holiday spirit with the 40th annual Dickens Christmas Show, a celebration of all things Christmas! The Victorian Holiday Market is full of shopping and entertainment with vendors wearing traditional period costumes.
A Very Broadway Christmas Tree Lighting: Nov. 13 | Broadway at the Beach, a massive shopping and dining complex in the heart of Myrtle Beach, kicks off the holiday season with a Tree Lighting Ceremony that includes live entertainment and special guests. A fireworks show over Lake Broadway caps off the event. Don’t forget to explore the specialty shops to get a jump on your holiday shopping.
Lighting of the Landing: Nov. 20 | Come out to Barefoot Landing for the annual Lighting of the Landing to kick off the holiday season in North Myrtle Beach. Shops and restaurants throughout the complex will be open, and a fireworks show will light up the sky.
•Great Christmas Light Show: Nightly beginning Nov. 22 | This drive-through light show features nearly 2 million lights and plenty of holiday cheer. Santa’s workshop is open on select nights for photo ops, hot chocolate, and more.
•Nights of a Thousand Candles: Weekends beginning Nov. 26 | Brookgreen Gardens starts its annual Nights of a Thousand Candles event on the Friday after Thanksgiving. More than 2,700 candles and thousands of lights illuminate the beautiful gardens for a truly one-of-a-kind event.
•Winter Wonderland at the Beach: Nightly beginning Nov. 26 | The former Pavilion site in downtown Myrtle Beach will transform into a winter wonderland complete with ice skating, light exhibits, walk-through shows and live entertainment.
•Intracoastal Christmas Regatta: November 27 | The Saturday after Thanksgiving, local boaters light up the waterway with their annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta. The flotilla, which benefits Yachts for Tots, starts at the Little River Inlet and ends at Dock Holidays Marina with viewing areas along the route.
Outdoor Activities
Since the temperatures in Myrtle Beach are pretty mild in November, visitors can still enjoy outdoor activities. Walk around Broadway at the Beach, check out Brookgreen Gardens, take a stroll on the beach, play a round of golf, and much more!
