Historic Postcards: Bathing Beauties & Families
This is part of our series “Historic Postcards”, gathered from popular postcard designs published in the early 1960s and sold at many souvenir outlets across the Grand Strand and the East Coast. This collection features photos of children and families visiting the beach and enjoying wholesome activities including sun bathing, playing in the surf, sports, games and more. It also features photos of some of the many bathing beauties to grace the sandy shores of Myrtle Beach over the years, including photos of the eras most famous pin-up girls and models, past Miss Sun Fun winners and lifestyle shots of visitors enjoying the beach. The text accompanying each photo is what was printed on the backside of each postcard.
