Each year hundreds of thousands of bikers flock to the Grand Strand for a celebration of big engines, flashy rides and wind in your hair known as Myrtle Beach Bike Week.

For more than 75 years bikers have been hitting the beach to enjoy all our area has to offer including top-notch entertainment, amazing weather and some of the best biker bars this side of the Mississippi.

Here's a look at some of the details on this year's events:

Myrtle Beach Bike Week: 2016 Spring Harley-Davidson Rally

This year the Spring Bike Rally in Myrtle Beach will be held May 13-22, 2016.

The stage is set for the 77th annual Spring Rally in Myrtle Beach to draw in thousands of Harley Davidson enthusiasts and other riders for a week of great riding, and some fun in the sun.

Murrells Inlet, just 15 miles south of Myrtle Beach, is a major hot spot for bikers during Harley Week in Myrtle Beach. Entertainment will be plentiful thanks to all of the vendors, biker bars and live music.

Room availability in our hotels and resorts tends to go fast in the weeks leading up to the Spring Rally, so be sure to book sooner than later. Check out this fun video of footage from the 2014 Spring Rally.

Atlantic Beach Bikefest: Black Bike Week 2016

This  year's Atlantic Beach Bikefest, a.k.a Black Bike Week, will be held May 27-30, 2016.

Celebrated each year during Memorial Day weekend, Black Bike Week brings in thousands of black motorcycle riders and clubs.

All weekend, custom bikes and flashy cars cruise up and down the Grand Strand non-stop. Atlantic Beach Bikefest draws its own unique crowd of vendors, custom bike builders, and motorcycles stuntmen that keep the party going.

Much of the entertainment during Black Bike Week happens around Atlantic Beach and the North Myrtle Beach area, but lots still spill into Myrtle Beach and the rest of the Grand Strand.

Before booking, be sure to find a biker-friendly hotel or condo.

Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Week: 2016 Fall Rally

The Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally is essentially a trimmed down version of the Spring Rally. It’s a similar crowd with much less congestion.

It draws many of the same Harley Davidson riders that come in the spring who just couldn’t get enough of Myrtle Beach. Vendors will be available and biker bars are still the happening place to be for the Fall Bike Week.

This year the Fall Bike Rally is slated for Sept. 26 through Oct. 2, 2016.

Don't Forget! Tips for Bikers

  • Make sure the Myrtle Beach hotel you plan on booking is biker-friendly
  • If you require trailer parking, ask your hotel ahead of time for availability
  • Book your rooms well in advance for larger parties
  • It's never too late to come! There are several hotels that offer last-minute deals leading up to the rallies
  • The traffic loop that was put in place for the 2015 rally is set to return in 2016.
