Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Myrtle Beach Bike Week will actually last three weeks this year under dates announced by various bike-event groups.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week, traditionally held the second week of May, will be May 11-20, 2012. However, the Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson slated its Cruisin’ the Coast Spring Rally for May 18-28, 2012, overlapping both the original rally and the Atlantic Beach Bikefest, known as Black Bike Week, which is Memorial Day weekend.

Despite the confusion about dates—and the city of Myrtle Beach’s push to scale down the once-massive events in recent years—thousands of bikers will flock to the Myrtle Beach area in May.

Many Myrtle Beach-area hotels and restaurants welcome the business that bikers bring, hosting bike-week events and specials to bring in the crowds.
