Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland Light Show

Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, a massive drive-through light show synchronized to music, is bringing holiday cheer to Myrtle Beach again this year.
 
The tens of thousands of lights in the Shadrack’s show are perfectly timed to bounce and change with the beat of the music — broadcast to your car’s radio — and it’s truly an impressive sight.
 
We drove through Shadrack’s Wonderland with a carload (actually, a Ford Expedition load) of kids ranging from age 4-12 last year, and they loved the show. The adults in the group were equally excited by the dancing lights and the upbeat tunes.
 
The light display brings to life traditional Christmas songs like Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy, Hallelujah Chorus and Silent Night.
 
Drivers cruise slowly through a maze of LED lights, which grow and ignite into Christmas trees, stars and snowflakes.  There are plenty of points where you can pull over and enjoy the show if you don’t want to keep moving.
 
A trip through the Shadrack’s light show is $25.50/car up to 9 passengers. Special group rates are also available. Concessions, Santa’s train ride, pony and camel rides, and photos with Santa are all available in Santa’s Village for an additional fee. Stop by the free petting zoo for a bit of extra fun. They’ll also have vendors selling special jewelry, handbags and accessories for $5 and up.
 
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is located at TicketReturn.com Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, at 1251 21st Ave. N., Myrtle Beach. It runs through Jan. 5 from dusk to 10 p.m., with later hours on the weekends.
