What’s new for 2016? Myrtle Beach Attractions, Restaurants & Events

While change is inveitable when you're a tourist town, 2016 has been a particularly big year when it comes to changes and new attractions in Myrtle Beach.

With Broadway at the Beach celebrating its 20th anniversary this season, the popular shopping and entertainment complex has decided to shake up its offerings with several closures, openings and changes (see a full recap here).

Many other spots around the area have followed Broadway's lead, as we've already seen tons of new attractions, shops, restaurants, and events this year.

Check out this list of new things that have opened or will open later this season. Here's what's new in Myrtle Beach for 2016:

New Myrtle Beach Attractions

2016 will bring some new attractions to the area, some which are known, and some which are unknown as of yet. From what we know now, we can expect to see the following attractions this coming year:

Ocean Lakes Campground has added many features to its Sandy Harbour waterpark.

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach isn't a new attraction, but its landscape is rapidly changing with rumors of Hard Rock Cafe's pyramid being torn down, bars closing, places moving around, and Planet Hollywood being demolished. What we do know is that a new attraction called Master's Edition Fine Art Gallery has opened and a unique nightclub called Club Oz is now open where the former Revolutions Nightclub stood. The Beef Jerky Store has opened near Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach. This new store offers 200+ kinds of jerky as well as other snacks.
