New Restaurants in Myrtle Beach for 2023

Myrtle Beach always offers a bounty of new restaurants to try, whether you’re a first-time visitor, or you return year after year. Last year saw ten exciting new restaurants come to the area, in addition to another two restaurants slated to open in the coming months. While we would never suggest foregoing your old favorites, like Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood or Greg Norman Australian Grille, we’re confident you’d regret not including at least a few of these soon-to-be favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants in your 2023 itinerary.

NEW MYRTLE BEACH RESTAURANTS

Bubba’s Fish Camp and Smokehouse Grill

1565 21st Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

This new casual venue is the sister restaurant to the longtime-favorite Bubba’s Fish Shack. Bubba’s Fish Camp and Smokehouse Grill features “Reel” good food, like shrimp po boys, all-you-can-eat catfish, and blackened fish tacos, along with Southern favorites such as pulled pork platters and a smoky brisket grilled cheese. Conveniently located across from Broadway at the Beach, this casual eatery features a laid-back vibe with eclectic décor you’ll love.

Heirloom Bistro

7713 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC

With a focus on fresh ingredients and seasonal flavors, Heirloom Bistro is an eclectic farm-to-table restaurant. Choose from their “tiered price fixed menu,” offering diners their choice of a three- to five-course meal, with various options available within each course. The menu changes frequently, so even if you’ve been fortunate enough to dine at this unique restaurant already, you’ll enjoy a new experience with each visit. This niche eatery opened in April of 2022 in Northwood Plaza, and has received outstanding reviews from countless customers. Reservations are highly recommended.

Southern Hops Brewing Company in Murrells Inlet

5148 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

This Florence, SC-based restaurant and brewery brought their beloved drams and draughts to the Grand Strand when they opened a second location in Murrells Inlet last summer. Southern Hops Brewing Company offers handcrafted beer and locally sourced dishes, set to the laid-back vibes of live  local music. While it’s not located in the main hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, it’s worth the short drive down south to stop by for a truly local South Carolina experience.

Fire To Table by Fat Boys

3415 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

After 10 years working in restaurant kitchens, a husband and wife team decided to branch out on their own and open Fat Boys Smoke Pit and Oyster Bar in May of 2022. But just a few months after opening, they noticed their customers’ interest in more than just their BBQ and oyster dishes, and so they rebranded as Fire to Table by Fat Boys, offering a wide range of locally sourced, seasonal dishes. This Murrells Inlet restaurant has become a Grand Strand favorite, both for their food (they offer brunch and dinner!) and their atmosphere, featuring a beautiful outdoor patio nestled beneath a Spanish moss-laden live oak tree.

Delia’s Kitchen Family Restaurant

1108 3rd Ave S, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

Owned and operated by mother-daughter duo Delia and Krizia Flores, this authentic Hispanic restaurant opened in July of 2022. The menu boasts a range of Latino, Tex-Mex, and Hispanic foods, paying homage to the Flores family’s Honduran roots. Centrally located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Delia’s Kitchen features signature dishes including empanadas, housemade guacamole, Honduran fried chicken, and chimichangas.

Peach Cobbler Factory

223 Fresh Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

Dessert fans, this one’s for you. The Peach Cobbler Factory is a franchise chain with over 100 locations nationwide. The Myrtle Beach location opened in 2022, bringing the chain’s signature selection of cobblers, cookies, puddings, shakes, and cinnamon rolls to the Grand Strand. Located inland, just West of Carolina Bays Parkway, this one’s worth the short drive to delight your taste buds.

Terrazza 19

8700 Golf Village Ln, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

Located in the Grand Dunes Golf Course clubhouse, Terrazza 19 was part of a months-long renovation completed in September of 2022. But you don’t need to be a golfer to eat here; Terrazza 10 is open to the public. This tapas bar serves small plates, shareable dishes, and craft cocktails with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Regardless of whether you golf, this one has something to offer all Myrtle Beach visitors.

Seawitch Cafe

3020 Nevers Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

The Seawitch Cafe is a casual eatery offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers can dine in and order off the menu of house-made pastries, soups, sandwiches, and platters, select one of the many grab-and-go options, or enjoy the breakfast buffet every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Seawitch Cafe opened in 2022 and is conveniently located in the Market Common shopping center.

Sweetberry Bowls

2128 Oakheart Road, Myrtle Beach SC 29579

Sweetberry is a franchise business originating in New Jersey. Now with over nine locations, including the recently opened Myrtle Beach cafe, the chain is known for its healthy fare, including acai bowls, wraps, and poke bowls. The new Myrtle Beach location is conveniently situated in The Shoppes at Forest Square Shopping Center, making it perfect for a quick snack in between shopping.

Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar

2461 Coastal Grand Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

While the Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar isn’t technically new to Myrtle Beach—the former location inside 810 Bowling was a longtime favorite, with lines regularly stretching out the door—this beloved milkshake shop has moved to a standalone location in the Market Common shopping center. Customers love this dessert shop for their unique milkshake creations, featuring novelty toppings like donuts, waffles, and cupcakes.
