Zipline courses, the newest trend in thrill rides, are cropping up all over the Myrtle Beach area. Most are still under construction or in planning phases, but this is set to be the summer of ziplines in Myrtle Beach. Here is a look at all the planned courses:  

Ocean Drive Pavilion Amusement Park, 90 S. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach  | The O.D. Pavilion in North Myrtle Beach has announced plans to add a zipline to their amusement park this summer. We'll keep you posted on opening dates and pricing. 

Soar + Explore, Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach | Part of the WonderWorks attraction at Broadway at the Beach, Soar + Explore takes participants 50 feet above the water of Lake Broadway on a 1,000-foot zipline course for a smooth, intense ride. A three-level, pirate-themed ropes course allows participants to compete in 33 challenge elements. Cost: Zipline, $19.99; Ropes Challenge, $11.99; Combo pass, $26.99. 

Adrenaline Adventures, 321 Ninth Ave. N., Myrtle Beach | Now open at the site of the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion, this zipline course offers visits two heart-pounding options. Choose from a 600-foot zip between two towers at 40 mph or a jaw-dropping free-fall from a 60-foot tower. Cost: Zipline, $25; Free-fall express, $25. 

Oceanview Adventures, Springmaid Boulevard, Myrtle Beach | Slated for an oceanfront spot next to the Springmaid Beach Resort, the Oceanview Adventure zipline will give riders a unique view of the oceanfront as they race down one of four ziplines or plunge 40 feet in the Powerfan Free-Fall Express Jump. Construction has not started, but we'll keep you posted. Cost: Zipline, $45; Free-fall, $25. 

Family Kingdom Amusement Park, 300 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach | The new zipline at Family Kingdom Amusement Park opened in March. The ride features a blue motorized chair that takes riders 60 feet in the area over the swash that runs through the park and back at about 25 mph. Cost: $10/ride or nine ride tickets.
