Description
About The Ripken Experience

Though baseball legends Cal Ripken, Cal Ripken Jr., and Bill Ripken, may not play pro ball anymore, their legacies remains intact with The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach. The Ripken Experience is one of the finest baseball facilities in the country, and while it is not open to the public, it is a notable attraction in Myrtle Beach for sporting events and tournaments. The Ripken Experience is home to 9 fields; 5 youth diamonds and 4 regulation-sized diamonds. Each field is inspired by designes of historic ballparks including Navin Field, The Polo Grounds, and Griffith Field. The fields also boast a popular synthetic playing surface used by many professional sports teams. These synthetic fields are used to help with the playablity of fields, and help prevent rain-outs. In addition to 9 fields, The Ripken Experience has a Welcome Center, which features the following concessions: The Ripken Experience Pro Shop, the Big League Grill, the Shortstop Subshop, and The Glossy Finish photography store. And, for your convenience, the air-conditioned and heated welcome center has restrooms, large-screened televisions, video games, and more. The Ripken Experience also training centers that include batting cages, practice fields, and pitching mounds.

Very well organized and run tournament. Facilities, fields, umpires and staff were great. Recommend teams looking for a great experience to choose Myrtle Beach. Hotels and surrounding attractions are great to cap off a great vacation and experience.
