New South Brewing

The popularity of microbreweries has been sky-rocketing in recent years, and for fans of the smaller batch beverage, New South Brewing is a must-visit during your Myrtle Beach vacation.

The brewery was founded in 1998 with the goal of providing fresh, quality draft beers to Grand Strand locals and vacationers.

Visitors to the facility can take a guided-tour to see how each of the beers are made, sampling them along the way before stopping in to have a pint or two at their on-site bar. And, odds are, you’ll like at least one of the brews enough to take home a six-pack or growler. Tours take place on select dates and times during the off-season and can be booked through New South Brewing’s official website.  They are open to the public Tuesday – Friday from 4:30 – 7 p.m.; Saturdays from 1-5 p.m.; and Sunday from 12:30 – 4 p.m. with yoga at 11 a.m.

Part of the microbrewery movement is trying new ones, and who knows, New South might be brewing one that you’ll have to take home and rave about to all of your friends.
