New Myrtle Beach Restaurants & Attractions for 2018



The Myrtle Beach area is constantly growing as more and more people book their vacations or move here each year. In order to keep up with the influx of visitors and new homeowners in the area, it is important for new Myrtle Beach restaurants & attractions to sprout up along the Grand Strand in order to keep up with the tastes and interests of all of the locals and visitors to the beach.

Benchwarmers

Located next to Mellow Mushroom by Broadway at the Beach, Benchwarmers Grill & Tap Room is the perfect place to grab delicious pub food and catch a game on TV. The menu here features your typical sports bar fare such as nachos, mozzarella sticks, wings, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and more. Enjoy dinner specialties here like the Fish ‘n Chips, Ribeye Steak, Smothered Grilled Chicken, Tuna Steak, the Open Faced Turkey Sandwich, and Chicken Tenders.

Blueberry’s Grill opened their first location in 2017 in the Grande Dunes neighborhood of Myrtle Beach, and this breakfast & lunch restaurant has quickly become a favorite amongst locals and visitors to the Myrtle Beach area. Blueberry’s Grill will be opening a second location at Barefoot Landing sometime in 2018. The menu at Blueberry’s offers a variety of unique items as well as classic breakfast and lunch favorites. Enjoy breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and more.

Have you ever asked someone where they wanted to eat and got the response doesn’t matter”? Doesn’t Matter Bar & Grill is the place to go in that situation! This new bar & grill opened in late 2017 in the former Carolina Forest location of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s and is an awesome place to grab a Happy Hour drink & appetizer from each day from 4-7 p.m. Guests here can dine on appetizers, salads, soups, Short Rib Prime Burgers, sandwiches, wraps and entrees. Entrees include options such as the B-B-Que Pork Plate, Sweet and Spicy Grilled Salmon, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Prime Rib, 3-Meat Stuffed Meatloaf, and many other mouthwatering dishes.

Barefoot Landing recently welcomed a new and exciting addition to the outdoor entertainment center. LuLu’s is not just a restaurant but also an entertainment center that boasts nightly live music, an arcade, ropes course, a beach, and more. The menu here features a variety of Southern food and seafood options such as the Crab Melt and the Pa-menna Cheeseburger with pimento cheese, bacon, and a fried green tomato. The restaurant opened in early June. 

Masala Chai

Masala Chai is a new Indian restaurant located along Restaurant Row next to Jersey Mike’s. This location was Hanil Korean BBQ for a short period in 2017, but now it is a quaint eatery boasting affordable Indian fare. Guests here dine on Indian street food, which the restaurant likes to call Real Indian Kerb Food.” The menu here includes items like Kati Rolls, Chats, and Indian beverages that are popular in the streets of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Calcutta.

The popular Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse will be opening a new location in North Myrtle Beach sometime in the near future. The restaurant plans to open their new location across from the Coastal North Town Center by May 2018. Stay tuned for more details!

Sandlapper Grill is a new restaurant that opened in late 2017 off of Highway 17 Bypass near The Market Common. This casual eatery offers no-frills fare such as nachos, fried pickles, wings, salads, burgers, cheesesteaks, seafood sandwiches, and specialty sandwiches.

Sol y Luna Latin Cantina is a new addition to the Carolina Forest area. Located near the Food Lion shopping center, Sol y Luna offers lunch and dinner in a quaint and welcoming atmosphere. Here, guests will find a variety of Latin-inspired options including tacos made on homemade tortillas, and a large variety of beverages like refreshing margaritas. 

Tin Roof

Tin Roof

Tin Roof is a new addition to downtown Myrtle Beach, and this restaurant and music venue occupies the entire third floor of a new oceanfront complex. Tin Roof is a popular chain out of Nashville, boasting delicious food, a full-service bar, and a stage for live entertainment. Tin Roof is now open at 14th Avenue North on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. 

Trojan Cow Food Truck

The Trojan Cow food truck is one of the newest food trucks in the Myrtle Beach area. This truck started popping up just recently at local car dealerships and businesses selling their gourmet stuffed burgers. Be sure to stop by and get one of these delicious burgers if you see the truck while you’re in town! They even offer a vegan option!

Broadway at the Beach is now home to a new food truck called Waffles & Cream. This food truck serves up delicious sweet treats that involve, well, waffles & ice cream! Choose from tons of ice cream flavors and toppings to satisfy your sweet tooth. 

New Myrtle Beach Attractions for 2018

810 Bowling

810 Bowling

The popular 710 Bowling in North Myrtle Beach has been planning on opening two new locations called 810 Bowling. One location has opened at the former Piggly Wiggly at The Market Common. Construction has begun on the second 810 Bowling location, which will be located near Coastal Carolina University. 

Asher Theatre

Asher Theatre

Asher Theatre is a new attraction located off of Highway 501 in the old Waccamaw Pottery outlet. This new theatre will begin its season in April 2018 and will boast shows such as The Man of a Thousand Voices” featuring James Stephens III; a world-renowned performer who does impressions of famous singers, actors, and politicians. The theatre will also have other events such as performances by Elvy Rose, Ultimate Karaoke competitions, All That Jazz and Blues, Margo LeDuc, and much more

Topgolf

Topgolf

While it hasn’t been announced when Topgolf will be officially opening in Myrtle Beach, construction is well underway at the corner of 29th Avenue North and Robert Grissom across from Broadway at the Beach. Topgolf is a golf-centered attraction that offers guests fun driving-range style games as well as upscale bar food and drinks. The attraction is set to open across the street from Broadway at the Beach, so keep your eyes peeled for it to be popping up in the near future.

New Oceanfront Complexes

New Oceanfront Complexes

Several oceanfront complexes are being built in downtown Myrtle Beach.

• 14th Avenue South in downtown Myrtle Beach will soon be home to a 32,000 square foot building on the former site of the Cabana Inn. The four-story complex will be reminiscent of The Market Common and will include space for retail and commercial businesses on the ground floor and accommodations on the upper floors. There is no set date for completion.

•An oceanfront beach club and entertainment complex is now open along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. This new complex is situated along the boardwalk at 14th Avenue North. The 55,000 square foot building is home to new restaurants, stores, and Tin Roof, which is a restaurant and live music venue. BurgerFi will open a new location here and Bandito’s, a Mexican restaurant that used to reside in downtown Myrtle Beach, will reopen in the new complex. This new complex will allow the boardwalk to extend another block to the new Hilton property. An oceanfront park will also be built. 

•A mixed-use complex will be built at 7th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard. The Gateway Galleria will be a 75,000 square foot building that will feature 40 condos as well as restaurants, gyms, and retail spaces on the bottom floors. There is no set completion date.
