Myrtle Beach Classic PGA Tour Event Heading to Dunes Club

The inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, a PGA Tour event, swings into action this May on the Grand Strand, bringing world-class competition to the area.

Scheduled for May 9-12 at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, the tournament will showcase Myrtle Beach’s renowned golf scene while contributing $225,000 to nine local social service charities.

Prestigious Venue, Rich History

The Myrtle Beach Classic promises to be a thrilling addition to the PGA Tour calendar. Held at the renowned Dunes Golf and Beach Club, a Robert Trent Jones-designed course, the tournament will feature 120 players vying for PGA Tour glory.

This venue boasts a rich golfing history, having previously hosted the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and PGA Tour Q-School Finals. With its stunning oceanfront setting and challenging layout, the Dunes Club is poised to provide a dramatic backdrop for the competition.

Tickets on Sale Now

Daily and weekly general admission tickets, as well as Club 18 Shared Hospitality options, are now available for purchase online at MyrtleBeachClassic.com. Children 15 and under get free entry with a ticketed adult, making this a great event for the whole family.

The Myrtle Beach Classic offers various ticket options to suit your needs:

Daily Grounds Access: This is the most affordable option, with prices ranging from $35 to $65 depending on the day. It grants access to the tournament grounds for a single day.

Weekly Grounds Access: For the entire tournament, you can purchase a weekly grounds access pass for $240.

Daily Club 17 – Shared Hospitality ($325): Located by the 17th tee, it offers panoramic views, inclusive food and drinks (beer, wine, soda, water, lunch), with cocktails available for purchase.

Local Charities to Benefit

In addition to your chance to witness world-class golf, ticketholders will be contributing to the positive impact this tournament will have on local communities. Tournaments under the PGA TOUR umbrella donate their net proceeds each year to support local philanthropic organizations, totaling close to $4 billion to date, which is more than all other major sports leagues combined. A total of $225,000 will be allocated for Myrtle Beach-area charities in 2024.

Help 4 Kids, a volunteer organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger, is among the beneficiaries. The Myrtle Beach Classic’s donation will be a game-changer, allowing them to continue providing vital weekend meals to over 3,000 children in Horry County schools.

“This grant is a huge win for our organization,” said Barb Mains, founder of Help 4 Kids. “It will enable us to feed these children for two months, ensuring they don’t go hungry over weekends.”

Other local charities selected for grants include Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Grand Strand, Champion Autism Network, Children’s Recovery Center, Classy Smiles, Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach, Project Golf, and SOS Care.
