Top Restaurants for Carolina Country Music Fest

The typical festival vendor food will be available at the inaugural Carolina Country Music Fest, but in case you’d like something a little more interesting before or after the show, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a good bite to eat in this town.

That said, choosing from the numerous eateries within walking distance of the stages will be the hard part.

We’ve narrowed down the options to what we think are the best 10 places to grab a bite, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other spots nearby where you can pick up a good meal.

The Bowery

Practically CCMF’s backyard neighbor, The Bowery is a legendary honky-tonk bar that fits right in with the country music scene. Known for its history with country music supergroup Alabama and its good-time energy, it’s an iconic pre- or post-show destination. Grab a beer, enjoy live music, and soak in the Southern roots that make The Bowery a must-visit during CCMF weekend.

Wicked Tuna

Located right on the 2nd Avenue Pier just a short walk from the CCMF grounds, Wicked Tuna combines fresh seafood with unbeatable ocean views. Festival-goers will love its energetic vibe, creative sushi rolls, and signature “Hook to Plate” menu that highlights the local catch. It’s an ideal spot to fuel up between sets or wind down with cocktails as the sun sets over the beach.

Sea Captain's House

Sea Captain’s House is a Myrtle Beach classic with a more laid-back, coastal charm. Festival-goers will appreciate the fresh seafood, historic cottage setting, and oceanfront dining that offers a relaxing escape from the concert crowds. It’s just up Ocean Blvd from the festival and is the perfect spot for a scenic brunch or sunset dinner before heading back to the music.

ART Burger Sushi Bar

ART serves a unique combination of specialty sushi rolls, gourmet burgers, and nitrogen-infused drinks, making this a convenient place to satisfy groups with varying tastes. Each burger is named for a historically-relevant painter, like the Rembrandt, a half-pound beef patty seared in duck fat and topped with confit mushrooms, manchego cheese, and Dijon mustard. And ART also has a huge seating area outside on the Boardwalk, where the liquid nitrogen really comes in handy on a hot summer day.

Peaches Corner

Located on the corner adjacent to the main stage, this Myrtle Beach institution will be the most obvious place to grab a bite, and probably the busiest. With limited seating and a menu full of concert-friendly foods like the Classic Foot-Long Hot Dog, Southern Nachos with pit-smoked bbq, Fried Pickles, a basket of Chili Cheese Fries, Waffle Cones, and Root Beer Floats, it’d be reasonable to expect a bit of line here during peak hours.

River City Cafe

It’s a little hike on foot, or a short shuttle or cab ride, but this 21st Avenue North burger joint has been a locals’ favorite for decades. Snack on some peanuts and toss the shells on the floor while you wait for the main event, and then just hope that you’ve saved enough room for the big, juicy burger that arrives just the way you like it. But if fresh beef isn’t your thing, choose from numerous options like Salads, Hot Dogs, Platters, Po’ Boys, Veggie Burgers, and more.

Atlas Tap House

Operating under the motto “Craft Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ,” this gastropub just up the street on Mr. Joe White Avenue serves Smoked Wings, Soft Tacos, Burgers, and, of course, several BBQ Sandwich options. As for beer, the list is too long to get into too much detail, but current offerings include selections from Dogfish Head, Harpoon, Lagunitas, Oskar Blues, Sweetwater, Founders, Great Divide, Stone, and more. And as far as Bourbon goes, they have pretty much anything you can think of.

RipTydz

Just steps away from the Carolina Country Music Festival grounds, Riptydz offers a lively oceanfront vibe that’s perfect for keeping the party going between sets. With rooftop views, beachy cocktails, and a diverse seafood-heavy menu, it’s a natural hangout for festival fans. Whether you’re looking for a full meal or just drinks with a view, Riptydz delivers the high-energy atmosphere to match CCMF.

8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill

The menu here is full of tropical and Mediterranean-inspired items like Coconut Shrimp, Fish Tacos, Hawaiian Island BLT, Kebob Sliders, and a Falafel Burger. It’s also a stone’s throw from the main stage.

Bumstead's Pub

Located catty-corner to Atlas, Bumstead’s also serves an impressive selection of beers from around the world, as well as a menu full of things that will fill you up. Best known for the sandwich meats that are served in the adjacent Dagwood’s Deli during lunch, nighttime visitors can choose from items like Beer-Battered Onion Rings, Smoking Joe Frazier Fries, Tater Tot Nachos, Fish n’ Chips, The Famous (12oz) Dagwood Burger, and plenty more.
