Description
About The Trestle

Functioning as a café and bakery, there are many reasons to stop in to this downtown Conway eatery. Open from 6 to 6, The Trestle is a great place to go to get fresh bread, pastries and baked sweets, breakfast, lunch, or a cup of coffee.

The Trestle Food

The bakery list extensive and includes 3-layer cakes, pound cake, cheese cake, pies available whole or by the slice, cookies, cheese biscuits and lady fingers, lemon bars and chewies, and specialty items like brownies, cream horns, and macaroons.

Breakfast is a little better with fresh baked items like the Breakfast Sandwich (two eggs with cheese and choice of sausage, ham, or bacon, on sourdough) or the Breakfast Croissaint (same as the sandwich, just on a croissant), but other options include three-egg omelets, pancakes, and French toast, which is also made with their house sourdough.

The lunch menu is divided into sections like Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, and Specialties, and touches many bases. The soup options are Black Bean, Loaded Potato, and Soup of the Day, and can be combined with Pasta Salad, a Grilled Cheese, or regular Sandwich.

The Salads and Such section features items like the Trestle Salad (a special blend of veggies, served with sourdough), the Deluxe Trestle Salad (add turkey and cheese to the regular one), a Chef Salad, Pasta Salad, and a Fruit Bowl.

The selection of Sandwiches From the Grill includes a Trestle Burger, Rueben, BLT, Open-Face Roast Beef, and a Pile Up Your Grilled Cheese, in which diners can choose their own combination from these ingredients: turkey, roast beef, ham, lettuce, tomato, pimento cheese, Asiago cheese, onions, black olives, bacon, and Swiss. Gourmet Deli Sandwiches are also available with ham, tuna, roast beef, turkey, or homemade chicken salad.

The list of Specialty Plates is pretty much all chicken-based (Grilled, Cajun, Mesquite, Ham & Jack, Homemade Chunky Salad, and Fruited Salad), with the exception being the Shrimp Pasta Plate. Each of these is served with guest’s choice of pasta salad, potato salad, garden salad, or homemade chips.

The Trestle Atmosphere

This place has the feel of an old-time Southern diner. Not like 50’s-style – even older. Vintage artifacts line one wall, and the other is adorned with historic photos of downtown Conway. It’s a quaint little place, and even though the crowds come out for lunch, it’s still a pleasant spot to grab a bite.
