About Riptydz

There’s something about enjoying hot food and cold beverages while looking out over the ocean, and Riptydz is a great place to do it. Featuring over 17,000 square feet directly on the downtown Myrtle Beach oceanfront, Riptydz gives guests a front-row seat to the Atlantic Ocean and some tasty grub and drinks to match the spectacular view. Open for lunch, dinner and after-hour fun, Riptydz is a popular gathering spot after a day on the beach or for a night on the town.

Riptydz Food

Riptydz close proximity to the ocean is a pretty good clue that the fare is seafood-centric, but the three-story building also offers a multi-layered menu. From beach-bum cuisine like Beachin’ Burgers, Sunburn Sammies and Dockside Tacos to fine dining favorites such as the Citrus Grilled Mahi Mahi and Garlic Teriyaki Pork Chop, Riptydz aims to please all palates. But seafood (and lots of it) is the main attraction, especially the Sea Steamer Pots with crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp and more. The Seafood Towers are piled high with your favorites from the sea, and the Raw Bar shucks up oysters, mussels, and clams. The more mainstream menu items include Southern Fried Pickles, the Seared Tuna Caprese Salad, the OMG Burger, Rippin’ Shrimp Tacos, and the Crabby Grilled Cheese. Can’t decide? You can always go Surf & Turf, like the Steak and Snow Crab clusters, but save room for dessert (the Lava Cake Ala Mode is heavenly) and lots of liquid refreshments, like a full range of frozen drinks and daiquiris.

Riptydz Atmosphere

Featuring both indoor and outdoor seating and a capacity of over 500, patrons can pick the vibe of the rooftop bar or the chic dining room. Riptydz is a local hot spot both day and night, but the place undergoes a bit of a transformation after the sun goes down. By day folks stroll up from the beach and Ocean Boulevard for a bite to eat and some cool-down drinks, giving it a beach bar feel. In the early evening things settle down as the dinner crowd rolls in, then the nightlife energy cranks up for the after-hours crowd on the open-air rooftop deck.
