About Olympic Flame Pancake House

Some people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you agree, and if what you’re looking for is a variety of home-cooked dishes for the whole family, then Olympic Flame Pancake House is worth a visit.

More than just pancakes, this breakfast and lunch spot has been serving locals and vacationers in the heart of Myrtle Beach since 1975.

Olympic Flame Food

The Breakfast menu is divided into Pancakes & Waffles, French Toast, Omelettes, Eggs & Biscuits, Platters, Breakfast Sandwiches, Kid’s and Senior menu, and Side Items and Cereal.

For Pancakes & Waffles there are numerous flavors and combinations available – chocolate chip, apple raisin, bananas and strawberries, Hawaiian pancakes, pecans, bananas – and both can be enjoyed with bacon, sausage links or patties. The selection of Omelettes is also impressive, including the Olympic Flame (bacon, ham, sausage, cheese), Spanish (mushroom, tomato, green pepper, onion, salsa), and the Florentine (spinach, bacon, tomato, feta), and each three egg dish is served with choice of grits, southern-style potatoes, or two pancakes with butter and syrup.

The Platter section of the menu pairs your favorite proteins with eggs and choice of grits or potatoes. The meats and fish include Grilled Chicken, Steak, Atlantic Coast Flounder, Hamburger Steak, Country Fried Steak, or Pork Chops.

Lunch options include all manner of Sandwiches, Salads, and selections from the Hercules Lunch Counter, which is not for the small of stomachs.

Options on bread include Philly Cheese Steak or Chicken Steak, Grilled Cajun Chicken Breast, Burgers, Patty and Grilled Onion Melt, Flounder Filets, and more. Those in the mood for something on lettuce can choose from Chicken, Greek, Chef’s, and Tossed Salads, and the Hercules Lunch Counter presents options like Ribeye and Freid Shrimp, and the “Loozeena” Grilled Chicken Breast, which is a Mardi Gras-themed marinated breast. All Hercules lunches are served with your choice of two sides, including fried okra, squash, sliced tomatoes, cole slaw, tossed salad, and French fries.

Olympic Flame Atmosphere

Located right on Ocean Boulevard, Olympic Flame is a convenient spot for a bite before or after a walk on the beach or a ride in the SkyWheel. You won’t find any frills in the dining room, but the service is usually prompt and polite. Like the rest of Myrtle Beach, the place can get a little crowded in the summer months, so relax and take your time and enjoy your vacation.
