Myrtle Beach-area restaurants reopen for outdoor dining, carryout and delivery

Sea Captain’s House reopened for outdoor dining on Monday, May 4.

The Myrtle Beach area is reopening along with the rest of the state of South Carolina as the governor and local municipalities lift restrictions aimed at curbing COVID-19. 

Many restaurants have been providing carryout and takeout service throughout the crisis, and the governor is now allowing outdoor dining to resume across the state. Indoor dining may resume on Monday, May 11, will some restrictions. 

Restaurants offering indoor and outdoor dining are subject to social distancing and sanitation rules, including: 

  • Tables must be spaced at least 8 feet apart
  • Limit of 8 people per table
  • All tables, chairs and seats must be sanitized after every customer
