Description
About Little Pigs BBQ

Barbecue lovers may have to follow their noses to find this little corner cafe in a strip mall off Highway 17 Bypass, but the search is worth the reward. People come from miles around to get their fixes for true North Carolina-style BBQ, and Little Pigs delivers the real deal. The Huggins family owns and operates this BBQ mainstay and makes regulars and first-time visitors feel right at home.

The Food

Little Pigs serves a wide range of home-cooked favorites, but it centers around the BBQ. Using whole pork shoulders smoked over hickory coals, Little Pigs uses a vinegar-based sauce on the pulled and chopped meat on sandwiches or as is, surrounded by some mouthwatering sides – hushpuppies, fries, onion rings, slaw, baked beans and more. Little Pigs also serves fall-off-the-bone tender ribs with their own sweet sauce, fried chicken, barbecue hash and other Southern standards. Barbecue combination platters are the way to go, and be sure to save room for dessert. Little Pigs makes some of the best banana pudding in town.

The Atmosphere

Little Pigs has a small dining area and quaint decor one expects from a great BBQ restaurant. If your BBQ is good, it doesn’t matter what the place looks like, right? Nothing fancy here, just booths, tables, chairs and miniature pigs statues that pay tribute to the sources of the South’s proudest export. This place gets pretty busy around lunch time so grab an empty seat and enjoy

  • Great value and taste

We stopped here on our visit from PA. We had the ribs and choked pork sandwich. The chopped pork was a little dry, but everything else was excellent. The young lady at the counter was very friendly. The sauces are delicious!

  • Pulled Pork

We visited this amazing restaurant last February.. and the food was so delicious (our first time having pulled pork).. and the owners were friendly.. and have to say everyone in the restaurant was welcoming. Will be recommending this restaurant to our other snowbird friends from Canada.
