Description
About Hot Fish Club

Located in the oldest existing restaurant building on the Grand Strand, Hot Fish has a rich history that dates back to the 18th Century.

The Hot and Hot Fish Club originally formed on a nearby island as a social club for members who were dedicated to gourmet food, stiff drinks, and jovial times among friends.

The original club dissolved just after the Civil War, but the restaurant continues the culinary tradition with fresh local seafood and produce.

Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., but the gazebo stays open well into the night.

Hot Fish Club Food

As the name suggests, this veteran Murrells Inlet eatery is pretty much all about the fish, be it fresh water, seafood, shellfish, or otherwise.

The appetizer selection ranges from Calamari and Blue Crab Fondue to Oysters Rockefeller and Sesame Seared Tuna.

For entrees, Hot Fish has all of the bases covered with fried or grilled seafood platters, steampots, and fish-centered plates of salmon, mahi, grouper, lobster, shrimp, you name it. And for those not interested in the namesake, ribeyes, filets, meatloaf, and chicken fried chicken are also available.

Hot Fish Club Atmosphere

Hot Fish has the laid-back vibe that Murrells Inlet is famous for. The main dining room is spacious and offers relaxing views of the Inlet and ocean jetties. Outdoor seating is also available on their screened-in porch.

After dinner, head out to the gazebo bar for a drink and stick around to hear one of the bands that play Wednesday through Sunday nights beginning at 9 p.m.

This area is one of the coolest spots to watch live music in Myrtle Beach, with a ramshackle stage giving way to a large danceflloor, and a pair of wooden bars.

There’s also an outdoor patio with goregous views of the slat marsh and a huge yard — complete with a small playground for the kids — which hosts special events throughout the year and large bonfires on chilly evenings.
