Cold Stone Creamery boasts a cheery staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The Creamery provides entertainment as well as an ice cream refreshment by preparing the ice cream on a frozen marble slab just inches away from the onlooking guests, adding toppings and sauces in such a way that the customer can watch and be sure that the order is perfect. Cold Stone also has shake, smoothie, and ice cream cake options.
Original Painter's Homemade Ice Cream
As the name suggests, Original Painters’s ice cream is homemade in the best sense of the word. Painter’s serves a flavorful variety of ice creams to be enjoyed inside in the bright interior or outside in the summer breeze. Kirk's 1890 Ice Cream Parlor
Kirk’s 1890 Ice Cream Parlour boasts a nostalgic atmosphere that harkens back to the early days of ice cream shops with its soda-fountain chairs and old-timey photographs. Kirk’s offers a wide variety of ice cream delights, from cups and cones to milkshakes and banana splits. With nearly 40 flavors to sample and choose from, Kirk’s is sure to offer the perfect creamy treat to beat the summer heat.
The family owned Calabash Creamery has been serving up homemade ice cream just across the state line in North Carolina since the early 2000s. Meyer's Ice Cream Parlor
Meyer’s Ice Cream Parlor is the hottest (or should we say coolest?) ice cream spot in Surfside Beach. Located across from Ocean Lakes Campground, this locally owned and operated ice cream shop offers over 50 flavors of ice cream along with soft serve, Italian ice, milkshakes, sundaes, novelty ice cream, ice cream cakes, and much more. During peak season you may have to stand in line at this ice cream joint, but it’s totally worth it. This family-friendly establishment boasts a fun and colorful interior, including arcade games for you and the kiddos to play before and after indulging in a sweet treat.
Sweet Molly's Creamery
The name says it all: Sweet Molly’s Creamery is known for their deliciously sweet ice cream. This family-owned and operated ice cream shop whips up small batches of high-quality homemade ice cream in tons of different flavors, with 22 flavors available at all times. Guests at Barefoot Landing can enjoy ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, no-sugar-added ice cream, sundaes, smoothies, shakes, and more at Sweet Molly’s Creamery. Plus, don’t forget to grab a Sweet Molly Sundae for your doggie on the way out.
Located next to the Gay Dolphin Gift Shop, Mad Myrtle’s Ice Creamery serves hand-scooped Mayfield Ice Cream. In addition to ice cream, milkshakes and sundaes, Mad Myrtle’s serves funnel cakes, cotton candy and other sweet treats.
