Woody is a native of Georgetown, SC. He attended Coastal Carolina University and graduated in 2018 with a degree in Business Management. While at CCU he was a part of the 2016 National Championship team and went on to become a two-time All-American. After graduating, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
