Brookgreen Gardens Lowcountry Zoo
In addition to its beautiful gardens and one of the largest collections of scupltures in the United States, Brookgreen Gardens is home to the Lowcountry Zoo, an attraction featuring hundreds of native animals displayed in their natural habitats. Including an aviary and waterfowl exhibit as well as alligators, otters, foxes, eagles, deer, goats, horses, bulls and many more, the zoo is a great place for little ones to learn more about the wildlife in S.C. and around the region. Also near the zoo is the Enchanced Storybook Forest a collection of interactive storybook playhouses created by local builders, architects and organizations.
