About 2023 Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival

Bring your family to the 68th annual Sun Fun Festival parade and events in Myrtle Beach this May! The Sun Fun Festival, a tradition that started in 1951, kicks off summer in Myrtle Beach with a variety of family-friendly events, including the Sun Fun Parade and live entertainment! 

Festivities Include: 

Friday, May 5

7 p.m. | Kick off the Sun Fun festivities with music by Trial by Fire Journey Tribute Band at the Plyler Park Stage. Sing along to hits like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel in the Sky” and “Faithfully” on the oceanfront in downtown Myrtle Beach. 

9 p.m. | The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will land on the beach near Plyler Park. The best places to watch the show are on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, where the team will perform its Pyro Jump on Friday night. 

Saturday, May 6 

10 a.m. | The Sun Fun Parade will make its way down Ocean Boulevard from 8th Avenue North to 16th Avenue North. 

Noon | The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will land on the beach near Plyler Park. Catch the show from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. 

2 p.m. | Cassette Rewind brings the sounds of the ’80s to the oceanfront at Plyler Park in a nostalgic performance sure to get you dancing. Enjoy hits from Prince, George Michael, Journey, Whitney Houston, and countless 1980s pop icons during this fun show. 

4 p.m. | The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will land on the beach near Plyler Park. Catch the show from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

7 p.m. | The Swinging Medallions take the Plyler Park stage with their unique mix of classic R&B, beach music and shag tunes. Expect to hear their ’60s hit “Double Shot (of my Baby’s Love).” 

Sunday, May 7 

3 p.m. | Wrap up your weekend with an afternoon of dancing with The Tonez, an 8-piece band playing a mix of Oldies, Motown, Rock & Roll, Country, Funk, R&B, and Beach music.
