Myrtle Beach Weekly Events Rundown: November 20-26, 2017
There are tons of fun holiday events going on this week, as well as the South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival!

2017 Surfside Beach Turkey Trot
Head over to Surfside Beach on Thursday, November 23 for the 2017 Surfside Beach Turkey Trot. This event will include a 1-mile, 5k, and 10k race as well as a Tot Trot for the kiddos. Participants can pick up their packet from 4-7 p.m. on November 22 and 7-8:20 a.m. on the day of the race.
Each race will begin at the Surfside Beach Pier, and the start times are:
-8:30 a.m. for the 5k and 10k
-8:35 a.m. for the 1-mile race
-10:15 a.m. for the Tot Trot
2017 South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival
Get your fill of Bluegrass at the 2017 South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival on November 23-25 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The event will feature big names in Bluegrass such as Daily & Vincent, The Gibson Brothers, The Farm Hands, and much more. Ticket prices start at $40/day for adults and $20/day for children ages 7-15.
Oceanfront Merchants Tree Lighting
The Oceanfront Merchants Association will be hosting a Christmas tree lighting on Friday, November 24 on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk from 4-8 p.m. There will be live music, a tree lighting at 6 p.m., appearances from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, train rides, balloon animals, face painting, crafts, and much more.
The Great Christmas Light Show
Get in the holiday spirit at the Great Christmas Light Show! This fun drive-through light display will be held at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex and will feature over 2 million lights! After driving through the 1.5 mile light show, stop at Santa’s Village where you’ll find a petting zoo, visits with Santa, train rides, and much more.
Intracoastal Christmas Regatta
Celebrate the holidays at the 33rd annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta on Saturday, November 25 at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at the Little River Inlet and will end at Dock Holidays Marina. Donations for Toys for Tots as well as cat litter and pet food will be accepted at the event.
