While the city of Myrtle Beach doesn’t have an official fall festival, many local churches, non-profits, and businesses organize gatherings, fundraisers, and seasonal celebrations from September through November. With plentiful entertainment, plus lower hotel rates and pleasant Myrtle Beach weather in October, it’s no wonder October is one of the best times to visit the Grand Strand. If you’re planning things to do in Myrtle Beach in October 2026, there’s no shortage of fun events happening all month long, including Oktoberfests, musical concerts, food festivals featuring Greek cuisine and local seafood, car shows, craft showcases, and harvest celebrations. Use this list of events to plan activities during your visit. With fall festivals all month long, it’ll be easy to find entertainment whenever you arrive.
Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art
Celebrate art, food, wine, music, dance, and more at the annual Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art. The program runs from October 1st to October 17th and includes amazing displays of art, a wine gala, musical performances and so much more. All performances except Artrageous are held at The Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island. The 2026 entertainment lineup includes:

Little River ShrimpFest
The 21st annual Little River ShrimpFest will take place on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026. Head to the Little River Waterfront to enjoy this festive event. This family-friendly weekend features tons of delicious seafood as well as vendors, arts and crafts, a children’s area, and live entertainment.
Brookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend Festival
Of all the harvest festivals in South Carolina, the Brookgreen Gardens Harvest Home Weekend is a favorite annual event. Visit Brookgreen Gardens near Pawleys Island on October 3rd or 4th to take part in this fall celebration. Activities include pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making, and more. Small pumpkins are $5 and large are $9; take-home scarecrows are $7. Admission is free with paid garden entry.
St. John’s Greek Festival
Join St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church for the 35th annual Myrtle Beach Greek Festival! This popular fall event will take place from October 15th to the 18th. The annual cultural celebration includes a variety of Greek foods and pastries along with live entertainment, a kids’ area with inflatables, arts and crafts vendors, and church tours. A shuttle to off-site parking is available.
Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival
This three-day music festival takes place Oct. 16-18 and features a stellar lineup of performers. Admission is free, but donations are happily accepted at the gate. This is a favorite of the fall festivals in South Carolina, drawing in audience members from towns all over the coast. The event has unassigned festival seating, so bring chairs or blankets to sit on to enjoy the performances.
Loris Bog-Off Festival
Love chicken bog? Then you won’t want to miss the 2026 Loris Bog-Off Festival! The annual event is slated for Saturday, October 17th. Features of this festival include a chicken bog contest, more than 200 vendors, a kids’ area, a car and tractor show, fireworks, live entertainment, and tons of fun.
Fall Shows
Cruisin’ the Beach Car Show
The Cruisin’ the Beach Car Show at Broadway at the Beach is a three-day fall event in Myrtle Beach happening Oct. 15-17. The show features modern, classic, and muscle cars, and vendors and concessions will be on hand. Cars will be displayed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Britfest British Car Show
Head to The Market Common for this annual fall car show on Oct. 3 featuring British vehicles and motorcycles of many vintages. The event includes raffles, gift baskets, and a best hat competition. Prizes will be awarded for the best cars in each class, plus other categories. The show begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam
This three-day Myrtle Beach event brings Jeep fans from around the country to the area. The fun begins at 12 p.m. on Oct 30 and it continues through the Nov. 1! The weekend includes beach crawls, an obstacle course, and a car show. Nightly events take place around the beach. All Jeep models may participate and spectators are welcome at all events.
Georgetown Wooden Boat Show
Check out the 37th annual Wooden Boat Show in historic Georgetown Oct. 17-18 on the waterfront. The event includes a wooden boat exhibit with more than 100 classic wooden boats; a wooden boat challenge where teams of two build a rowing skiff and test their boats on the Sampit River; a youth sailing regatta; and corrugated cardboard regatta.
Fall Bike Week Events
Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally
The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally will run from Sep. 25th through Oct. 4th. Popular hangouts include The Beaver Bar, Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson, The Harley Shop at the Beach, Jamin’ Leather, and other bars and restaurants in the Murrells Inlet and along the Grand Strand. Cruising daycations include rides from Murrells Inlet to Charleston, SC, and up to Wilmington, NC. Check with the Harley-Davidson at the Beach dealership for updated information.

Oktoberfest Events
Perhaps the most iconic of all Myrtle Beach October events are those honoring Oktoberfest. This tradition has revelers in the Grand Strand and all over the world celebrating. Two local celebrations offer German-inspired food, drinks, and live entertainment.
OktoberFest! at Barefoot Landing
The annual OktoberFest! at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach features German and fall-inspired food and drinks, plus live entertainment for all ages. Purchase a wristband for $10 to receive discounts at participating venues on the day of the event. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. A dog costume contest is set for 2:30 p.m. at Dockside Village with live music from Band On Fire to follow on the Pepsi Stage at 3:00. Radio Source will be performing prior to the dog costume contest from noon to 2:20. The event will take place on Oct. 3, 2026.

Mythical and Medieval Festival
This Myrtle Beach Renaissance festival is entering its 10th year with a two-weekend celebration. The event runs on November 7th–8th and November 14th–15th this year. The hours all days are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The family-friendly festival raises money for a local non-profit children’s charity. Grab a seat on a hay bale to watch medieval combat, fire shows, and live performances, or enjoy bubble-blowing, a Viking toss, and other fun games.
