Don’t miss the annual Loris Bog-Off Festival on Oct. 18, 2025!

The annual event, which began in 1980, is sponsored by the Loris Chamber of Commerce and draws fans from around the state. The event features a chicken bog cooking contest, live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors and more!

Chicken Bog is a Lowcountry dish made from rice, chicken, onion, sausage and a special blend of spices. Many variations on the original have cropped up over the years, and the Bog-Off is a great event to give the dish a try.
