Elite Runners to Participate in Inaugural Myrtle Mile Race
The first ever Myrtle Mile Race will be taking place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in downtown Myrtle Beach. This race, which is open to runners and walkers of all skill-sets, has attracted the attention of many Elite Runners who will compete to break the current world record 1-mile time. Here is some information about the runners who will be joining us for the Myrtle Mile:
Francis Kosgei
Francis Kosgei is 35 years old from Kenya. He is a professional athlete for Nike + Run Club.
Grace Barnett
Grace Barnett is 23 years old from South Carolina. Former Clemson Athletics’s Female Athlete of the Year, NCAA All-American and alumni of Waccamaw High School.
John Schilkowsky
John Schilkowsky is 26 years old from New Jersey. He is a two-time NC State Champion at 800m and ran 1:52 to take 2nd in the 800m at the 2010 National Scholastic Indoor Championships.
Rachel Schilkowsky
Rachel Schilkowsky is 26 years old from Rhode Island. She is a five-time D1 All-American while at Cornell, including 4th place finishes in the 3k SC in 2013 and 2014.
Beatha Nishimwe
Beatha Nishimwe is 20 years old from Rwanda. She won the African Youth Championships 1500m with a time of 4:17.37.

Craig Nowak
Craig Nowak is 24 years old from South Carolina. His personal bests include a 3:47.01 1,500 meter and a 4:04.75 mile.
Troy Reeder
Troy Reeder is 24 years old from Indiana. He won a top-15 team finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, and two All-American honors in the steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Eglay Nalyanya
Eglay Nalyanya is 22 years old from Kenya. She won the 2017 Navy Mile, claiming the elite women’s first place at 4:44.30.
Cyrus Korir
Cyrus Korir is 25 years old from Kenya. He won the 2017 Pittsburgh Half Marathon with a time of 1:04:13.
Lucas Stalnaker
Lucas Stalnaker is a 23-year-old Pacers Running/GRC New Balance athlete from South Carolina.
