About Dunes Golf & Beach Club
As the second-oldest golf course in Myrtle Beach, The Dunes is still second-to-none when it comes to the golf experience.
Opened in 1949, the legendary Dunes Club continues to be rated the No. 1 Golf Course in Myrtle Beach by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golfweek and made the “100 Greatest Courses in the US” list by Golf Magazine (1993-2001) and “America's 100 Best Classical Courses” by Golfweek/Golf & Travel (1997-Present).
The Dunes Club is famous for the Par 5 No. 13 hole nicknamed “Waterloo” for its risky bend around Lake Singleton. The dogleg par 5 on this course has also gained a lot of recognition as a favorite hole to play. This course features a classic layout as well as A-1 bentgrass greens that make play fast and smooth.
This Myrtle Beach golf course has hosted six Senior PGA Tour Championships, a Women's US Open and several finals of PGA Tour Q-School, as well as the PGA National Professional Championship.
Following a 90-day renovation closure, under the direction of 'The Open Doctor' Rees Jones, the Dunes Championship Course re-opened to fantastic reviews in 2013 and now offers world class golf instruction, a complete practice facility, oceanfront dining and full guest locker facilities.
This limited access course boasts some of the best staff along the Grand Strand. With rave reviews, The Dunes Club is a must-play for every golfer who has the privilege to book a tee-time here.
