Wild Wing Plantation features a unique 27-hole layout – the 18-hole Avocet course and nine-hole Hummingbord course – that gives golfers the option of playing nine, 18 or even 27. Designed as a signature course by the team of Jeff Brauer and Larry Nelson, Avocet presents creative contouring, elevated tees and greens, double fairways, grass bunkers and even a double green serving two holes. The Avocet was recognized by Golf Digest as a ‘1994 Top 10 Best New Courses in America’ as well as being consistently rated in Places to Play as a 4-Star Award Winner. The Hummingbird has garnered similar accolades over the years.
